Super Purchase
This is an excellent album. Well, almost anything by Mannheim Steamroller is excellent. Can't go wrong with this one. It's beautiful.
Fresh Aire
I love this music. I had it on cassette for years and misplaced it. time for a CD! it makes great music to listen to or to use for background at a holiday party. even my kids enjoy it!
Wonderful musicians; not surpassing their first album
I find the album (CD) to be appropriate and, for me, nostalgic music. My wife plays it long after the holiday season. Titles selected seem to lack slightly the robustness of the first Christmas album by The Mannheim. Their full impact remains for me in the first one, but the second Christmas album is surely a worthwhile purchase.
Best Christmas album - EVER
I've owned this album since its release in 1988-89. Bought it originally on cassette - then on CD. I keep having to re-buy this CD every few years because I play it so much, that I wear it out. Unmistakeably the best Christmas album ever. My favorite track is their rendition of Veni Veni Emmanuel. I cry everytime - I mean - everytime - I listen to it. Enjoy this CD - it will bring the true spirit of Christmas into your home, into your heart.
One of the best Christmas CDs ever
I enormously love this CD because unlike the first Mannheim Christmas album (which I thought was just a tad too short), "A Fresh Aire Christmas" is a wonderful album with a lot of great interpretations of traditional Christmas songs.
But there is one piece that REALLY stands out: Chip Davis' original instrumental piece "Traditions of Christmas." Is the any instrumental piece you could think of that evokes all the images of Christmas morning, with everyone waking up to drink a hot beverage, opening Christmas presents, and eating Christmas brunch while occasionally looking out at the snowy landscape?
