Reviews:

Let's clear our throats and try again.
This CD features outtakes of songs recorded by Elvis Presley at RCA's studio B between 1961 and 1964. There are complete alternate takes of 21 songs, plus sometimes studio chatter and false starts. Lots of great songs here, including the classic hits "Little Sister" and "His Latest Flame". This CD may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I love hearing alternate takes of classic Elvis Songs. If you're like me, you will love this CD.

ELVIS AT HIS BEST
These Nashville outtakes are stunning !. Great sound quality and beautiful singing from Elvis makes this a essential cd for anyone who loves great music.

The Nashville sound at his best.
This new release of the Follow That Dream collector's label is a delectable selection of 23 outtakes from Elvis Presley's studio sessions in Nashville between 1961 and 1964. Hits like "His Latest Flame", "Little Sister" and "Kiss Me Quick" can be found here alongside lesser gems like "Anything That's Part Of You", "I Feel That I've Known You Forever" and "Ask Me", all in their earlier, not yet completed form. This CD beautifully illustrates the degree of perfection Elvis and his crack band, as much as the Nashville engineers, had managed to achieve at this point in the studio. Of every song there is at least one complete take, often preceded by some false starts and studio banter. The sound quality is excellent - as we came to expect from the Follow That Dream/BMG team. Highly recommended.
