NOT Adjustable
The hat itself is fine and should work with the average-size cranium no problem. What I'd like to point out is that the product is misadvertised as 'adjustable', when it in reality comes in one nonadjustable size. This is unfortunate for me as I wear large-size hats, and this gives me a very tight, uncomfortable fit.

Hat is NOT Adjustable - Sizing is Difficult
Just a heads up. This hat is not in any way adjustable. The sizing chart link here on Amazon does not work, it simply tells you to contact the seller for sizing information. The price is fair enough, the quality is good but sizing the hat correctly will be very difficult. I ordered a large and I wear a 7 1/4". I found the hat tight although that is what I found recommended at the merchant's web site. Also the hat no longer comes in a box as one reviewer stated. Since Amazon deletes reviews which discuss "price" I'll be far less inclined to publish any more reviews at Amazon in the future. Amazon just deleted one of my top rated reviews (100% positively rated and, by a very wide margain, the most popular review of a particular product) because I mentioned price and Amazon's past discounts.

Girl Scout Leader
This hat is a fine quality. We used it for an event with Girl Scouts and many of us have handed it off to boaters we know. If you are looking for an inexpensive but nice quality had... this one is for you.

Too big for size Small,good othervise
I ordered this hat for my son,we lost his hat,which looked similar to this one,and I promised him to find another one.I measured his head before ordering and according to their size chart,we needed size Small,but in reality it is too big for him,it's good for me or my husband,but not for 9 y.o.boy.So when ordering,get it in a size smaller,than you see in size chart.Othervise hat is nice looking and we would use it next summer.
