Reviews:
Surprisingly Refreshing
If you are expecting anything relating to the NKOTB, don't even bother. This album, I would argue, was ahead of its time. It stands against the current wave of popular music in 2007. This album showcases the work of a talented artist that has grown, matured, and soulfully expressed himself through song. I am truly impressed with Danny Wood's cd. It was pleasantly refreshing and good. It's worth the purchase.
Danny Wood, Second Face
This is, by far, one of the best albums I've heard in awhile. Former New Kid on the Block, Danny Wood, really & truly outdid himself on this album. The only drawback? It is practically impossible to find for purchase. I only recently discovered this album(from 2003)4 years after its release, & was terribly disappointed to discover that it was not available anywhere. However, don't loose heart, fellow "Blockheads"; I was, in fact, able to order a used copy on Amazon. BTW, I must admit, this album is better than any of Jordan Knight or Joe Mac's albums. Albeit, I love their current work; however, this album is, by far, the best work of all the former New Kids. And guess what? Jordan was my favorite-lol!
sounds real neat and interesting !!!!!!!
I think I will buy this one.Danny has a nice voice, and the songs are real cute.I would play it at night to help me fall asleep.mellow fellow.smooth singer.
Danny Woods Cd Rocks!!
This cd is absolutely awesome!! There is no bad tracks on this cd!! A Great Buy!! I wish he will put out more stuff!! I knew it would be a good cd because of his ties with New Kids on the Block (Still My Most Favorite Group) [I Listen to them every day]!!! Recommended!! **I hope they will maybe have a reunion tour!!
Not a new kid on this block...
I gave this CD five stars, but I would have given him 10! Danny Wood is truly an artist. I believe that Danny was blessed to have gotten into the entertainment world through NKOTB, but being a part of the group did not do him justice as an individual artist, singer, and songwriter.
Second face is a genuine look into Danny's life and career over the past decade. The first track "HOME", is dedicated to his mother that has passed on; it makes anyone that listens wonder if they can make it `home'. Danny, with the help of a friend, Pete Masitti, wrote most of the songs/lyrics on `Second face'. Which goes to show that he is a true artist!
I believe that these songs could make the top 10, if only they were given the airplay they deserve, and the marketing that it takes to get the music out there. I am more than happy that this is a part of my CD collection and it is in constant spin on my disk changer. Danny should get out on the road and tour so that we can hear these songs live!
