Here in Florida you need a wonderful sturdy umbrella, especially with the wind and heavy

48 "Umbrella

great umbrella
Great umbrella, preforms as advertised. My only concern is that the 48 might be a bit too large for city use. I live and work in Manhattan, so i got tired of playing umbrella chicken on narrow sidewalks and decided to get a smaller umbrella. The umbrella is slightly too big for one person, but too small for two people. I was thinking about getting the 43, but i think that was too small. By the way, the 48 is the measure of the arch, not the diameter of the umbrella, once opened. Anyway, i am happy!
A quality and sturdy umbrella
My first one was defective in that it wouldn't stay in the upright position because of a weak spring but the replacement one works great! Its about 3 feet long folded up and for that size I wish it was a bit bigger than 48in but oh well. A high quality piece that I keep in my trunk and know I can depend on.
Good umbrella but not large enough
I have not had any really fierce winds to try out my new GustBuster. It worked well in mild winds. My problem with the 48-inch model is that it's not large enough to keep my legs dry even with slight winds. I should have bought the larger model.
The wood handle looks nice at first but it's already showing signs of wear. The umbrella's automatic opening feature works, but not perfectly. It usually pops up another notch a few minutes after the first opening.
