THE BEST FOR OVERSEAS TRAVEL
i AM AN OVERSEAS CONTRACTOR, I'VE USED MANY BACKPACKS, BUT THIS STYLE IS THE BEST!! SINCE IT'S WHEELED IT IS VERY EASY TO MOVE AROUND AND WHERE YOU CANT PULL IT AROUND I JUST USE THE STRAPS AND WORKS PERFECTLY FINE ALSO. I JUST WISH IT HAD MORE PADDING. I USUALLY PACK ALL THE ITEMS I NEED FOR 3 OR 4 DAYS TRAVEL AND IT FITS PERFECT, THE IPOD COMPARTMENT IS GREAT TO!I ALWAYS CARRY A FULL LOAD SO WHEN IM READY TO BOARD THE PLANE I JUST DETACHED BOTH BACKPACKS AND SLIDE THE SMALL ONE THRU THE HANDLE OF THE WHEELED ONE. I'VE HAD NO PROBLEMS FITTING THESE CARRY ON BACKPACKS ON ANY PLANE! THEY FIT IN ALL BINS NO MATTER HOW SMALL AS A MATTER OF FACT THE BIG ONE IS THE MAX ALLOWED ON AIRCRAFTS THESE DAYS..I EVEN CARRY MY LAPTOP COMPUTER IN HERE WITH NO PROBLEMS..THE SMALL ONE IS GREAT FOR ALL YOUR ESSENTIALS LIKE PASSPORTS, PENS, IPOD, A SWEATER, JACKET, WALLET, AND SECURITY CHECK ITEMS LIKE PERSONAL HYGENE STUFF AND MAGAZINES. Sufficient, but not for all tasks.
I require a wheeled bag for my work. I have tried and used many different brands of wheeled luggage. Mainly this is because I treat bags as disposable. This High Sierra wheeled backpack has benefits, but for my purposes it also has several failures. First, its structure is insufficient for hauling heavy, dense items. Second, it isn't even slightly capable of containing liquids and leaky matter. Similarly, third, it is insufficient at containing odors in the bag. Finally, it does not easily de-stain, and nor does it easily biodegrade. I'd prefer if it could at least do one of these two things. On the other hand, I do like that it's 22 inches tall. For reference, the human femur is 19 inches long on average, and it's the largest human bone, so this bag is just roomy enough. The medium pouch in the front is about 14 inches wide. To visualize the size, it's about that of the average human head plus neck. The tiniest pouch at the very front has enough room for a few hands' worth of matter, at least. Now, you might need two or even three of these to carry all of your luggage. But that's really where the wheels and handle have their advantages--just about anyone can drag 90 lbs per arm, but few can lift 90lbs per arm. If transporting anything leaky in this bag, I'd suggest making what's called a "sand layer" where you would put your leaky material into a sack full of absorbent material, like sand, flour, or, in a pinch, just plain towels. This isn't meant to stop the leaking, just to "absorb" the leaking for several minutes while you're wheeling your cargo to someplace where leaking is less important. I learned this fact the hard way and ended up having to haul two extra bags of luggage that day. I do like the nice side pockets, though. They are useful for carrying tools. I can fit a mini saws-all in there (blade detached), and then a pair of high-bore wire cutters on the other side, which is really all I need to carry with me. So, in short, it's a decent bag but not for my priorities.

All positive so far.
I gave this to my cousins son as he's starting to travel more for sports. The quality when delivered was great and I've had no negative feedback so far. I thought it was a steal at about $60 shipped.

Perfect bag for catching a connecting flight.
This bag is great for carry-on only flyers. Plenty of room for as much as 4 days of changes of clothes. Removable backpack is very comfortable to wear. However, it could use a a couple more pockets or reorganization of the spaces in it's compartments. The backpack's big pocket's opening makes it a little difficult to get thing in and out. Overall, I'm very pleased at how functional and smoothly this luggage works. The handles are very soft and comfortable for when you need to carry the big bag.

High Sierra Carry-on a great travel bag
My husband bought this bag for a 25 day trip to Europe. He packed enough clothes for the trip. The size made it great for traveling during the trip. The suitcase is a perfect size for fitting in the overhead bin. The dayback is the perfect size for keeping with you on a plane and to use as a daybag while sightseeing. The suitcase with the backpack zipped on fits nicely in European taxi cab trunks. The bag is two years old and is holding up beautifully. I just bought another one for my use. This is a great travel bag for folks who like to travel, carry on their luggage and not be overwhelmed by a bulky suitcase.
