Reviews:
Pretty good money belt
I bought this for my backpacking trip to Europe and it was pretty good. After walking around a lot during the day it would get really sweaty and kind of uncomfortable. It took practice to position it so the corners of my passport, etc. didn't stab into me. I couldn't wait to get it off most days. The material is probably more comfortable than most, but I can't say for sure because this is the only money belt I have ever tried. Product held up for my 23 day trip, with quite a bit of use. No real complaints as far as quality goes. Fit my passport, money, credit cards fine.
Average product
It was ok but seemed to make me more sweaty. Prefered the other money belt I purchased - Eagle Creek UnderCover(tm) Passport Money Case. This one wsn't as sturdy and didn't hold as much.
Perfect
I used this when traveling in South America last May 2007. It was of good material, and it was never irritating wearing it. It does its job perfectly.
I got my money's worth
This product was well worth the money. I went on a trip to Italy with a large group and many of us had the same thing. Some had the neck item, but wished they had the belt. It looked smooth under clothing. It kept my money and passport safe. I never worried about my belongings because it was secure. It was not overly hot -- although it was hot in Italy and it would sometimes get a bit soggy, it cleaned up nicely. Definitely worthwhile if your going to be traveling.
Flimsy plastic clasp breaks easily
The Rick Steves Silk Money belt was a big disappointment from the start. First of all, the shipping cost was almost 150% greater than the purchase price. Then, the second time I opened the clasp, the plastic part broke, making the belt unuseable.
