NOT ITS USUAL USE
My Totes is in my motorcycle's saddle bag ready for use when I'm caught it a thunderstorm while on the road. Popped open (while stopped off the road of course) it covers me and the electronics on the bike. Storm over, it's back in the bag and I'm back on the road ...dry.
Great umbrella, huge cover
I love this umbrella, and have probably bought at least 4 of them so far (I tend to lose them when I go out). Even though it is somewhat expensive, it's very compact and easy to fit in a bag, while having huge coverage so I don't get wet at all. Great product.
An Inexpensive Fully Automatic Quality Umbrella
I've never owned an umbrella that fully opens with the push of a button. I have to say that it's pretty cool. This one's oversized like myself so it's a good fit so to speak. The only problem I have is that it takes more force than I expected to push it back down into it's spring-lock position. Makes me feel like it could break over time. But, hey, I paid twenty bucks for it. This is an item that is definitely worth your money.
Handy thing to have.
I live in Japan and have to lot of walking between home and the station and then the station and the office. This is a really convenient umbrella because it is relatively light and is nice and wide when open. I but it in the outside pocket of my back pack and don't have to worry about the weather any more.
The only problem that I have had is that I accidentally hit the release button a few times while I was using it and it closed and gave me a little shaking shower of rain.
Hopefully not a mistake I will repeat. Other than that, it is well worth the price.
Use Extreme Caution!
I purchased a Storm Beater Totes windproof double canopy golf size, auto open, umbrella and the first time I used it, it nearly sliced off two of my fingers! The handle unit is so poorly crafted there were burrs in the plastic and a metal splinter embedded outward. Two cuts on my fingers took about a week to heal.
I've since filed a complaint with Isotoner and plan to file one with the U.S. Consumer Protection Safety Commission as this product is downright dangerous.
If you want your fingers and hands intact, look at a different brand.
