Great For Traveling
This bag is great. I've taken it up and down the east and west coasts, into the Bahamas, the British Virgin Islands, Costa Rica, Panama, England, Germany, almost everywhere. It will hold everything you need to tour a city for a day, and it goes through airport security easily. Even though I bought it over 4 years ago, it still looks new, even after traveling the world with me. I can carry my SLR, a few extra lenses, a book, my ipod, my passport, a flashlight, and a light windbreaker. Even with all of that crap, I still have room leftover.
Man Bag
Nice and sturdy. It has convenient pockets. As a man, this was the most masculine, least feminine, bag for carrying checkbook, ipods, and other items when a briefcase is not possible or out of place. It places the weight across your shoulder, and is not constrictive like a waist bag.
Almost Perfect Sling
I love the look of the sling and how it matches my luggages, but I was just expecting the bottom pocket to be larger... only it fits something small like a travel size hand sanitizer. The middle pocket doesn't have a zipper so I can't put anything of importance in it because I would worry about it falling out. The other pocket I'm content with because it's large. I also love the overall size of the sling.
Practical Little Bag
I was looking for an inexpensive and practical small bag to carry necessities, and this little bag turned out to be perfect for me. I recommend it for day trips when you don't want to lug around your computer and a couple of books and a picnic and your SLR camera and...
- This bag is not a backback, and does not have as much space as a backpack. It has plenty of room for my wallet, glasses, iPod, cell phone, point-and-shoot camera, *small* water bottle, *small* snack (not a whole picnic and not a thermos), train tickets, and the very light baselayer that I always carry. I don't know about a sweater; it would have to be very light and compact. Maybe a light windbreaker, if you're small and/or you don't carry everything else mentioned above. Forget about a hoodie or a netbook. There is a handy key clip in the main compartment.
- There is one pocket on the front that has no zipper. It is deep enough to hold a cell phone invisibly, and it's plenty big enough for my old Razor cell phone. Although my large-ish ipod classic fits easily, an ipod or Palm or Blackberry in an open rear pocket like that would be screaming, "steal me, steal me!" (I personally use an armband for my ipod; it's a much better solution for my purposes.)
- There is a pocket on the front that has a zipper. It's big enough for some tissues and my ipod or a point-and-shoot. It's a little bit too small for a checkbook, so you can still dig in the main compartment when you want to hold up the checkout line.
- You can sling the bag across your chest for cycling (very important to me; thx to the person who mentioned it earlier) or to put off potential thieves. The strap is long and adjustable, so you can easily switch configurations.
- For some reason, I find it easier to locate my stuff in this bag than in a purse even though it doesn't have any interior pockets. That might be the way I pack it or something, I don't know.
- The styling is, IMO, unisex, so guys can feel comfortable using this practical bag too.
- I haven't owned the bag long enough to speak to its durability but it seems to be of good quality, especially considering the price.
Overall, a great little back for traipsing around the city when a backpack or messenger bag would be too big and a purse would be a pain in the a**.
Perfect purse
I needed a purse in sling form because I broke my ankle and needed a more easily handled bag. This bag is perfect and lightweight and surprisingly holds everything I need- including a big wallet, a big bottle of pain pills, and a 33oz Sigg water bottle! The pouch in front so I can answer my phone more easily is also great!
