Nice looking, but won't last a month
I bought one of these sweater vests in a Jos. A. Bank store. The price was great, but I didn't know the difference in merino wool vs. cashmere or quality of construction. I thought a sweater was a sweater. Not! I noticed that the wool was so thin you could see through it, but I didn't realize how fragile this sweater was until I bent over on an airplane and the back of the sweater hung on a seat arm and ripped out the entire shoulder area of the sweater even though I was not moving very fast and unhung the sweater immediately. I have real cashmere sweaters that would never have done that. Never again. It's definitely not worth the money. Better to spend a little more money and get a well made sweater.

My husband has been wearing vests for the last sixteen years which were less expensive than the Jos A. Bank brand. Last year for Christmas, I decided to splurge on him and purchased two vests from their very expensive Jos. A. Bank Signature Collection. What a disappointment! They turned out to be of the most inferior quality we had ever encountered! After wearing them only once, they both unraveled from the body of the vest at the neckline and sleeves making them unrepairable. I will never purchase another vest from this company again.

For some, it might be ideal
For me, the neck opening is too small. This results in a somewhat staid appearance, on me at least. I also found the material to be a bit on the thin side. Other than that, it's a good sweater. For some reason, I can't seem to find a sweater vest that really suits me. So this one had to do.
