Prodcut Description: [More Information ...]
Adults familiar with Baby Einstein educational videos understand the concept behind the company's products. Studies show that repeated exposure to pleasant images and sounds will create greater brain capacity in wee ones, as neurons become connected in the brain's auditory cortex. (And you thought you were just playing with your child.) Here, in time for Christmas, Baby Einstein takes a holiday breather. In Baby Santa's Music Box, the stimulation is similar, yet the learning is not quite so intentional--a relief for those of us a bit intimidated with the Russian, Japanese, and French introduced in the original film. No human words are spoken here. Rather, the sights and sounds of Christmas are presented in a visual feast of whimsical, happy scenes accompanied by seasonal music. From sledding and snowmen to glowing candles and shimmering ornaments, dozens of animated and live-action settings communicate the beauty and wonder of the holiday season. Penguin puppets unwrap presents, ring bells, and toss tinsel. Santa's sleigh in a gentle snowfall segues smoothly into a playful group of Christmas-clad youngsters dancing to Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker." Kids decorate a tree, twirl in stocking caps, and careen down a sledding hill. Throughout the program, the Baby Einstein Music Box Orchestra performs soothing music from Christmas carols and classical favorites to traditional melodies from around the world. Infants and toddlers already sense the magic of Christmas. This "video board book" will help them celebrate it. --Lynn Gibson

Great DVD!
My boys LOVE this DVD. I only bring it out during the Holiday Season and it never fails to captivate them. They are 2 and 4 and still continue to enjoy this one.

Merry Baby Einstein Christmas!
Baby Einstein's Baby Santa's Music Box One of the earlier releases in the now popular Baby Einstein video series, Baby Santa's Music Box is an unpolished version of the wonderful videos to come later in the collection. Relying more on music and visuals as the sole entertainment than some of the others, Baby Santa began the formula of the Baby Bach and Baby Beethoven videos with stimulating visuals set to music. Unlike the more advanced videos in the Baby Einstein series designed for older babies and toddlers, this one is entirely non-verbal and will appeal to infants as young as one month of age. Visuals rely heavily on the Baby Einstein Puppets albeit the earlier versions, visuals of ornaments and Christmas decorationas, animals playing in the snow, and lots and lots of children. The soundtack is holiday instrumental musical tunes from different countries around the world such as England, Ireland, France, Germany, Israel, Japan, and the United States yet all rendered in similar orchestration by the Baby Einstein Music Box Orchestra. Appropriate for ages 1 month and up, the simplicity of the video combined with some more engaging puppet visuals will likely entertain your baby until around the 18th month. The video is short, but you have the option to "repeat play" as well as play the music without the video. Like most of the other videos in the Baby Einstein series, this one is designed as a `video board book' for your baby and offers you the opportunity to interact with your child in the same way you do with books as well as act as a distraction for that deeply needed parental bathroom break. Most of the DVDs in the series have the option to "play" or "repeat play" and are about 20-30 minutes in length -- the repetition being very stimulating and comforting to the younger set. While I don't think viewing Baby Einstein DVDs will make my infant "smarter" she sure does enjoy them! They give me a great way to interact with her as well as a few minutes here and there to get a few things done around the house. Their ability to calm her when she's fussy is already legendary in our household. Here is information on all the current 21 Baby Einstein DVDs including suggested times to introduce them to your little one. We love this video & can't stop watching it!
My 16 month old son LOVES his "HO HO HO" video! Yes, it's simple & kinda slow, but for a toddler, it's perfect. He doesn't get any of the other Christmas shows out there yet, but he does get this one. We are big on Christmas in my family & this is just the first step in teaching my son the magic of the Holiday Season!

Disappointing!
We are huge Baby Einstein fans, but this is very disappointing! The video is very short (yet doesn't cost any less than the others) and really lacks the creativity the other BE videos have. The music for this video is not up to usual BE standards and it is the only BE video our 15-month-old son walks away from! I would definitely NOT recommend buying it. Hopefully the Baby Einstein people won't make another mistake like this - it's annoying to spend money on something this second rate when you've come to expect more!

A great intro to Christmas
We received this as a gift and from day one my son was entertained. This was his first Christmas season and because he is so young, we did not get out much. We thought this was a great introduction to the sights and sounds of Christmas. He loved just about everything in the video especially the children and babies. The sparkling ornaments and children dancing around made him laugh and talk. The music is really vibrant and the puppet shows are always a favorite. He loved the penguins and the polar bears...real and puppets. Great from start to finish!!
