love these jeans
These jeans fit awesome, no gap in the waist and i have a larger rear end :) i would buy in many colors!
My new favorite jeans
Being right at 5 feet tall, it's hard for me to find jeans that I don't have to hem to the point where I'm taking 6 inches off the bottom. Makers of my previous favorite jeans have discontinued their lines, so I've been looking for something that would fit for a while now. Although they are a little higher-waisted than I was expecting (most of my jeans sit on my hips) I find that I like these as I don't need to worry about showing anything else off. They fit very well through the legs as well, and are at the right length for me. They also wash pretty well, and don't shrink dramatically if accidentally thrown in the dryer. They do fit pretty true to size, so make sure you're being accurrate and don't get a size up or down unless you're sure, otherwise they probably will not fit as well.
Did Not Like
This was my first time buying a "curvy" cut. Apparently, it's not for me. The backside and waist fit fine, but across the front was loose. I've bought boot cut before, but these made me look...square. They've been returned.
Enough room for my butt and thighs!
I'm 5'2" with a 28" waist and 38" hips. That 10-inch difference makes finding jeans extremely hard, then I have to get them in petite to boot. (I can't just hem up regular pants because the waist-to-crotch distance is too long; the crotch will hang midway down my thighs and looks stupid.)
But the 529s in petite fit me off the rack. They're perhaps a quarter inch too long, but I have an old pair that shrunk a bit in length over the last two years.
Now granted, these fit only because the back of the waist goes up quite high compared to the front part of the waist. I know some women don't like that. It felt weird to me at first too, but I got used to it quickly. They do gap in the back, but the material doesn't pull on me like other pants, and my shirts keep that extra material pushed up against my back.
These pants sit 1.5" below my belly button. My lower abdomen is quite short and sticks out more than my upper abdomen. The pants also leave plenty of room for my thighs, which are 19-21 inches in circumference.
