Very nice coat
This is a very nice looking coat, but I threw away the detachable faux velvet collar. To me, it looked cheesy. The coat is warm, fits very well, and is classy looking. However, I had a couple of minor problems. One button has already fallen off - easy fix. The straps on the sleeve buckles were too long and floppy. I solved that by tacking them to the sleeve. Finally, the sleeve lining is a bit too long. When worn over a suit coat, the lining bulges out of the bottom of the sleeve and is a bit unsightly. Bottom line, a good coat for the price. However, for that price, the minor "fixes" shouldn't be necessary.
My BIG disappointment is that this coat cost $238.00 in late November, and now is selling for $150.00. At that price, it's much more of a bargain
London Fog for Christmas
The London Fog was a Christmas gift for my Father and he loved it. I fit him perfectly, the quality was great and Amazon's processed the order so fast; he got the coat before Christmas even though we found the coat so late.
London Fog Men's Trench Coat
The trench coat I ordered arrived promptly and fits my husband perfectly. It's very warm and comfortable and made of good quality material. It looks very classy with the faux velvet collar and can be worn for more dressy events. We are very pleased with the trench coat.
Quality?
First of all, I put this coat in my Amazon basket and continued to shop as it was Christmas season. In a matter of a day or two, the coat went up over $30...but I got it anyway. Within the first couple of days of owning it, 3 buttons fell off...just dropped off the coat and onto the floor. I should not have to make repairs to an expensive coat within days of owning it. It's been quite a disappointment, and am considering sending it back. It is not what I expect from London Fog.
Great Coat
Needed a raincoat at the last minute for an overseas business trip and, as I do more and more, I took a look at what Amazon had. Coat looked good; was available with Amazon Prime; two days later it arrived and I love it. Fit is excellent; quality seems very good (time will tell); like the micro-fiber. Once again, Amazon comes thru.....quick and easy.
