Prodcut Description: [More Information ...]
America’s favorite boy band - Brian, Will, Q, Mike, and Robert are back for another season of music, drama, and Diddy on MTV’s hit reality series, "Making The Band 4". The new group, hand-picked by Diddy and collectively known as DAY26, is reunited with surprise solo winner, Donnie, to begin their journey into the music industry. But there’s a new twist…This time around platinum recording artists and winners of Making The Band 3, Danity Kane, join the guys in the same house to begin working on their respective albums. This season features a competition to see which group will finish their album first plus all the drama that Making The Band fans have come to expect: Diddy’s infamous challenges, bitter feuds, and more! More than anything else, this season focuses on the musical development of DAY26. Their journey kicks off with the fresh new single, "Got Me Going," produced by studio heavyhitter, Mario Winans. In addition to the aforementioned track, the collection features production from The Runners (T.I., Chris Brown, Rick Ross), Jim Bean, Grammy Award-winner Adonis (Diddy, Usher, Danity Kane), and multiple Grammy Award-winner Bryan Michael Cox (Usher, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey), featured on Making The Band helming the quintet’s debut single, "Exclusive (No Excuses)."

If you're new to Raheem DeVaughn but have caught wind that he calls himself an R&B-hippie-neosoul-rock star, you've got a right to be skeptical. It's hard enough to hold down an advanced degree of R&B cred these days without ratcheting up the pressure by insisting on being a hipp...

Reviews:

Surprisingly Good
Usually these TV shows produce one hit wonder garbage and personally I'm not the biggest fan of Diddy as he usually ends up destroying any group signed to his label as all his past star artists have died on the vine in contract disputes or other like Craig Mack, 112, The LOX, Carl Thomas, Black Rob, New Edition, Mase, Total, G-Dep, The Band, Dream, Shyne, Faith, and the list goes on. With that said he at least got a good album out of these guys, although I'm certain he'll destroy this like he's attempting with Danity Kane. Anyway, the album is very entertaining and as always Diddy needs to thank his producers, the people who actually put Diddy on the map as his production skills are lacking and it shows his hands were not deeply involved in the making of the album. There are at least 4-6 good hits on this one so it's not a one hit album to waste your money on. One thing I feel when listening is that this album reminds me of 112's first album in some ways and bears similarities in a lot of areas. One thing I will add is that despite Danity Kane's popularity, I feel this album is better than both of their albums put together and thought Danity Kane is highly overrated even though they can sing better than say The Pussycat Dolls although the reason they sell records is for similar reasons; their hot looking chicks and teenage boys and girls buy albums for this reason. On the other hand, the Day26 fan should be one who is drawn in for musical content over looks in my opinion. Good luck guys, I hope Diddy doesn't kill your future.....

Cant take it out my CD deck!!!
Diddy is a genius. I bought this cd the day it came out in March and have played it so much it's starting to skip because it's worn out. I'm going to have to buy another one but it's worth every penny. I love every track, I can let it play from beginning to end and then over and over, I can hardly ever make it to the end of the cd though cuz I'm always re-starting tracks. I love Robert and Brian's voices the best. I used to have a hard time telling Q and Willie's voice apart until this season aired and I got to see who sings what on certain songs. Mike has a unforgettable voice also and I wish he was allowed to sing more than just ad-libs on most tracks but like I said Brian and Robert have the best "lead" voices so I understand why they sang lead on most songs. Songs that deserve a special mention are: Co-Star- This is such a pretty song and I love Robert the most on this Come In- Love the harmony Are we in this together- The bridge is my fav part...."Ooh girl I hope you understand, and I hope you listening, placing that rock on your finger girl....that's my mission" LOVE IT!!! Dont fight the feeling-I always call this "I already know" LOL Mike had his time to shine on this one and did great as did Rob And I can never get tired of "Got me Going" and "Exclusive" is the song that made us all fall in love with them. I cant wait for a second cd but until then I have no problem listening to this one all day every day. I even have my daughter knowing all the words. 112 used to be my fav guy group back in the day and I'm glad that Day 26 is carrying on the Bad Boy legacy with such good music. I hope they stay around for a long time.

Universal
I like this album because even though Day 26 are young the songz speak of love, happiness, pleasure and pain let's not forget some party cutz as well that all ages can enjoy. I definetly believe they have all the right elements to be around a while. Buy it and you'll see the proof is in ther pudding!

Where is the love?
I don't need to go through the song list because I can listen to the whole album from beginning until the end. I will say that "Co-Star", "Don't Fight the Feeling", and "In My Bed" are my joints. It is really a shame that music has changed so much. It used to be about the vibe and the chills you would get from hearing a soulful voice. These days all anybody cares about, is what song they can bounce to. We need to be able to appreciate all forms of music. Just because a song is slow doesn't mean it has to be boring. I think this group is very underrated by the public. There are some great harmonies and individual voices on this album. I think we need to go out and support the R&B groups that we have left because pretty soon they will be an extinct species. I guess I will be forced to listen to crap like Pretty Ricky or the Pussycat Dolls, groups that have 1 lead singer and a bunch of role players. Do yourselves a favor people, go get that Day 26 album and remember what it was like to get your groove on!

nice groove and mellow listen
just by who diddy pick i couldnt wait to listen to this album and diddy didnt disappoint. its smooth and grovey. love it.
