      Unleashed

Prodcut Description: [More Information ...]
The release of 'Unleashed' on r.a.r.e. complements the band's original classic 'Growers of Mushroom', a legendary 1970s album, reissued on Repertoire in 2005. This newly recorded set of high-octane performances features powerhouse vocalist Peter French – after spells with Cactus and Atomic Rooster – now back with a new line-up featuring fleet fingered guitarist Luke Rayner, Ed Pearson (bass) and Jimmy Rowland (drums). Dynamic tracks such as 'One hundred and five degrees', 'Barricades' and 'Too many rock'n'roll times' epitomise the band's allegiance to the legacy of Cream, Hendrix and Led Zeppelin. Outstanding cut 'Breakthrough' is a new version of a song originally sung by Peter French with Atomic Rooster in the 1970s.

Reviews:

The old wolf is back on the hunt...
This is how pure old school heavy rock should be delivered. Sometimes they sound better than their legendary 1971 debut and it's hard to believe that 30 years flowed under the bridge. A mix of FREE bluesy patterns getting the LED ZEPPELIN rifferama, while visiting the realm of early 70ies UK soulful underground heavy rock ala ATOMIC ROOSTER. One of the best albums I 've listened to, lately. F@@**k modern corporate & alternative scum, this is a pure relentless heavy monster destined to bring shivers to anyone who sold his soul for rock'n'roll. Mega-recommended!

Leafhound bites hard
This album would have to be the release of the decade, why I took so long in getting my hands on this gem has had me shaking my head for months. This cd "Unleashed" defines the meaning of rock music. I heard Peter French back when I was 17, music in Australia in the seventies was a time like no other and I loved it. But how about this some 30 some years later Peter returns with a great band, a great cd and I hope a great future for these guys. The music on this cd is rock pure rock like it should be. Nominating a favourite song from this cd is extremely hard but if I have to I would have to go for "The man with the moon in him" or "Nickels and dimes" damn the whole cd is great, these guys have to be proud of their music and what they have achieved here. EXCELLENT! John Australia
