Take The Weather With You

What you see is rarely what you get with Jimmy Buffett. While he may contend that he is the king of slackers, a modern day Dean Martin whipping up fizzy rum drinks under the palm trees in a silk Hawaiian shirt, this best-selling author and raconteur is actually the thinking man's...

Live at Texas Stadium

Recorded live at Dallas's Texas Stadium in 2004, this long-delayed release is worth the wait. Over 15 tracks, the three superstars sing together, separately, and in pairs for what turns out to be both a musical treat and a long draw of fun. Strait, who normally stands stock still...

Buffett Live: Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays

Jimmy Buffet has become better known for his roles as a bestselling author and seafaring adventurer than as a songsmith, which is why this 15-song live collection could not have arrived at a better time. Recorded in Nantucket, it revives all the charming, affable elements that la...

License to Chill

Country music's infatuation with the puka-shell rock of Jimmy Buffett has been one of the genre's less fortunate indulgences. Most of Nashville's hat acts do little more than dip their toe in the water and do nothing to build upon Buffett's signature sounds. That's why License to...

Hoot

Based on Carl Hiaasen's very cool young-adult novel of the same title, Hoot tells of a teen boy suddenly plunged into the wacky world of endangered species and Florida shenanigans. Jimmy Buffett contributes five new songs to the soundtrack, which isn't all that surprising since...

Reviews:

Best of both worlds
Great collection of songs for the true die hard fans of both Jimmy Buffett & the Boston Red Sox! It doesn't get much better than this.

Jimmy Buffett Live at Fenway Park
This live CD does not have the energy that most of Jimmy's other live CD's too. I'm a Fenway Park/Red Sox fan too!

WTF, Jimmy?
Jimmy, I love ya! But, after Feeding Frenzy, you came back with Tuesday's, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Then the whole series of live albums that seemed to document every concert you did in 2004. Now, ANOTHER LIVE ALBUM? (and "live in TX stadium on the way...) The problem is, there have just been to many darn live albums. It's not that Jimmy doesn't deliver live- it's just that half the time he has to shout to be heard over the crowd. And I'm starting to get the feeling he's bored with it all. Jimmy's an innovator- he tries new stuff, and he's covered lots of ground in his career. Sometimes, his stuff misses the mark for his audience, but he's always expanding his horizons. I buy, and will continue to buy every studio album the man puts out. But I'm drawing a line in the sand. No more live albums. Whew- a little rant there, but let's talk about this cd. Most of the setlist is familiar and it IS nice to hear him shake the dust off some of the White Sport Coat tunes. Those are timeless. The problem is, they don't sound great on this cd. Jimmy and the Coral Reefers sound a little uninspired, and did it really have to be a double cd? I will concede that if you don't have any other live cds, this would be fairly enjoyable. For the rest of us, this cd is not necessary. I expect a lot more from the man from Margaritaville, and I know he'll deliver on his next studio set. Thanks for reading my review!

Jimmy has always been the greatest!!!
What can I say? I have been listening and following Jimmy Buffett for 28 years. My wife and I sing all the songs and collect the CD's. This particular CD with the accompanying DVD has only one thing wrong....it is over too sooooooon!! Loved the DVD and have played it over and over. All the ParrotHeads know this and those who would be, get this and lose some stress.

Jimmy Buffet at Fenway Park
On September 10 and 12, 2004 singer Jimmy Buffet step out on a stage in the outfield for 2 concerts at Fenway Park, that is most famous for having the big green wall out in left field. All together there are 2nd cds, ad a dvd, that has a shorten 55 minutes of football from both shows, part I is the show he did on September 12th, performs an hour and annouces a break, and then part II or should I say cd #2 has the Friday show on thier, that is what I guess act II of the show. Fenway Park is most also famous for being the home of the Boston Red Sox, that later on that year wnet on to win the World Series that year, so you migth have to wonder if these shows did anything to cause that to happen? Thier are seats on the field, where fans coudl sit, and also the seats up in the stands as well. Now if you look at the color of Fenway Park is green, but this also looks like the a great place to be at in person. Now I like tio mention the 2nd cd is 75 minutes long, and has 17 songs on there, and in total he pefroms 32 songs on this 2 cd set, that comes in a little box, with a dvd, that you can also chooose to watch the video fo it, and what is a concert when you can't see it? The band is pretty much the same that he took to play a year later at Wrigley Field home of the Chicago Cubs. Some of the songs are Cheeseburger in Paradise, Hey Good Lookin', It's Five O'Clock Somewhere, Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes, and One Particular Harbour. Now I bet there are a bunch of you Parrot heads out there, but here is a good question, why are fans of Jimmy Buffet fans are called Parrotheads? And when did that nickname come to be?
