Wonderful
My mom absolutely raved about the selections on this CD. It has a wonderful companion documentary shown on Turner Classic Movies. Highly recommended for the "appropriate" generation. Review of "The Dream's On Me"
I wanted to find a copy of a one hour TV special that Mercer did before his death. This CD was the closest I could find to what I really wanted. I did not like this CD. The selections were not the best of Mercer's work and many of the artists were poor. I could not recommed this CD to anyone who is a Mercer fan. Great Product & Great Amazon Service
I was watching the companion documentary for this CD on Turner Classic Movies, as I have always been a fan of Johnny Mercer's music and lyrics. When I saw that a CD of the musical content was available, I went immediately to Amazon.com, because I knew you would have it! Ordering was easy, and delivery much quicker than the date you had indicated when I ordered. The CD is wonderful, with great songs performed by great artists. Outstanding
We gave this to my Mother for Christmas and on Christmas Day, we all watched it. It's really good and if you think you know who Johnny Mercer is, just watch this DVD because you'll learn SO much more. Eastwoods presentation of Johnny Mercer
Saw the original program on TV which inspired me to purchase the CD. What a disappointment. This presentation doesn't come close to hailing Mercer and his fabulous work. |
