Good CD.
Bought this as a Christmas present for my wife. She normally listens to harder rock, this is a little more mainstream poppy kind of music, but she likes it anyway. She originally saw Chris on Am. Idol and liked him on the show. All in all a good purchase.
NOT HAPPENING FOR ME
as someone who comes from the Deep Purple MKII/Gary Moore/Jimi Hendrix school of rock this style of rock, whatever
it is, does nothing for me. Not to say Chris is bad, I was actually rooting for him on AI, but this stuff doesn't
grab me. I love great guitar riffs and for me there are none on this disc. What do I consider great guitar riffs?
Day of The Eagle by Robin Trower, Rat Bat Blue by Deep Purple, Tomorrow's Dream by Black Sabbath, Heartbreaker
by Led Zep, Walk This Way by Aerosmith...you get the idea.
The guitar style on this disc just doesn't work for me. I don't even know what this style of rock is called but
if you play this style there's a good chance I won't own anything by your band. I can see why this CD was popular
with the masses but that means nothing to me. I'm gonna go crank up Deep Purple's 'Highway Star' from Made in Japan
and listen to Blackmore's manly, blistering guitar work and the balls-to-the-wall Hammond organ of Jon Lord.
THAT...gives me goosebumps!! Sorry Chris, I'll pass.
Excellent
We all first saw this guy on American Idol. He got my attention when he sang a song from Fuel. He is a rocker that is not crude or offensive. I even detect some Godly values in him. He is extremely talented and his music is great!

There are 4 good songs on this album. Too bad the whole thing wasn't good.
