      How the Day Sounds

Prodcut Description: [More Information ...]
Lyricist/singer/multi-instrumentalist/producer Greg Laswell reveals another chapter in his musical and emotional journey with How The Day Sounds, a six song EP that is openly transitional from its spotlight on Laswell's elegantly expressive piano playing to the sense of healing and moving on that resonates throughout its course. In 2006, Greg captivated listeners with his Vanguard debut, Through Toledo, an intimate account of a devastating experience in his life. With his intense lyrics, hypnotic-like vocals and sweeping melodies, it told a story of heartbreak, loss and longing. Through Toledo received critical acclaim and brought Greg comparisons to Radiohead, Beck, Coldplay, Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake, Ron Sexmith and Elliot Smith.

Narrow Stairs might be the first album recorded by Death Cab for Cutie since Ben Gibbard's former solo project went unexpectedly stratospheric, but Gibbard hasn't let it go to his head. Oh, OK, maybe a little: lead-off single "I Will Possess Your Heart" is an eight minute jam tha...

Portishead's Third has been a long time coming, the result of a lengthy creative torpor following 1997's dark, distinctly underrated album Portishead. Importantly, though, they've shaken it. While the core trio of Beth Gibbons, Geoff Barrow, and Adrian Utley remains, this is quit...

Reviews:

GREG LASWELL LIKE NONE OTHER
Only Mr. Laswell could create an EP that resonates so well and for so long. It is a true artist that can make you feel so fully and so deeply with only 6 songs. There is no one else like him. We should all be grateful he is kind enough to share his georgous music and vision with us. I am and will be a fan forever. Thank you, sir.

Greg Laswell
This is a good CD and I recommend that you buy this CD and all of his CD's and listen to it every second of everyminute of every hour of every day of every month of every year.

How The Day Sounds Greg Laswell CD
Really nice to listen to. Amazing singing voice, background music and lyrics. I would reccommend this CD. But that is my opinion and I think you should listen to it as I did before purchasing. I love it. So I also bought Through Toledo by Greg Laswell.

So I would have paid full price for this EP. Great music.
I bought this on Amazon (obviously) and after listening to it twice I have to say I'd of gladly paid full price for a disc this good. Six tracks and not a one disappoints. What a Day stands out in my opinion, but they are all so good you might have a hard time picking just one as a favorite. Laswell's style is in the same mold as other singer-songwriters, but somehow he gets compared to Coldplay and Snow Patrol. That's fine. If you like them you'll dig this EP.

Greg does it again, and then some!
I loved Greg's previous album "Through Toledo" but this EP is just stunning in its beauty. This is primarily due to Greg's silky voice, the perfect backing vocals that compliment it, and the gorgeous piano and melody throughout. I particularly love the songwriting and melody of "How The Day Sounds" and "Embrace Me".
