Reviews:
They ARE something The Hush Sound is undeniably awesome. Their debut album, "So Sudden", couldn't be different. And that's no news to anyone.
Amazing lyrics, well-chosen tracks, instruments beautifuly played and soft voices all over the near 40 minutes that make you actually want to repeat everything again and again, hoping the moment never ends. "Eileen" is probably one of the best songs I've ever heard.
They deserve to be big. My best wishes for them. Awesome variety of sound You will not be disapointed when you hear a male or female and sometimes a duet of vocals with the clash of a piano in the backround of rock and swing that started at a local High School. Launched on a tour with Fall Out Boy, they almost sound similar to This Providence but still maintain their own genre. You will be surprised to notice the variety in every song with orignal style that consistantly causes you to go back an listen to some more. Lyrics are beautifuly creative with the only rock you can actually dance too. All ages - you will like this band. Rock this. varied yet effective another band that i hadn't even heard of before a few weeks ago. but that didnt stop me from wanting to check them out and see what they are all about. it's hard to really pinpoint because the style varies from song to song. but its not confusing or anything its pretty refreshing to hear a band come out with a sound that you like even if its different at times. While the songs aren't all that long, they are effective in getting to you in the time alloted. From "City Traffic Puzzle" to "Weeping Willow" and on forward to "Carry Me Home".
The Hush Sound bring a style that is all their own and done rather well i also i might add. I also really like the fact that more than they have more than one lead singer and writing their own material as well. You don't see many bands that have more than one lead singer and its not a gimmick each brings his or her own style whatever song they are singing on. It might be an acquired taste for some i'm still getting into the cd myself. But i look forward to it more and more with each time that i listen to the CD. Nice one. The Hush Sound is an awesome band! The Hush Sound has put out two great albums. They are a very talented group and I highly recommend them. I have both of their cds and they are *so* good. The songs are catchy and well written. You won't be disappointed! The Hush Sound--So Sudden I loved The Hush Sound the moment I found them online. Their song, "Wine Red" from the second album hooked me immediatly. I bought both the first and the second CD at the same time. "So Sudden" is very good considering they are not a well known band. Some songs don't have as good recording quality as others but each song is unique and different from the rest of the songs on the album. What I like best in the fact that in each song they switch from male lead vocals to female vocals. It gives it variation so that each song doesn't sound the same. I'd recommended this CD as well as their second "Like Vines." |
