Prodcut Description: [More Information ...]
With over thirty years of dance floor expertise, Danny has carved an indelible mark on electronic dance music, past, present, and future. Clubbers report seemingly inhuman mixing capabilities, booth-to-floor telepathy, and the grittiest modern yet classic grooves they have ever heard come out of a speaker. This is Tenaglia's first compilation album in five years.

Reviews:

Future Uncertain for Danny
The first thing to do when you buy this 2 CD set is to throw away the first CD. And, well.. The second CD, is what gets my 2 stars. DT's music has set many trends in the past - and provided many nights of quality club experiences to many club goers. Having seen and experienced DT at Tunnel back in the days is an experience I'll never forget. It's not that this cd lacks 'vocals' or is too 'repetetive' - it's just that it's got no soul. And, a couple of years from now the tracks will be forgotten. So, unlike Danny's past musical sets and CD mixes. This seems to be DT trying to be something or someone he is not. For those new to DT's musical landscapes look for his mixes, remixes and CD comps on both the Tribal America and Twisted Record labels - you won't be disappointed. Otherwords, Avoid this waste of a plastic disc at all costs.

Worth the wait ? Yes ...a big Yes.
Firstly I would strongly recommend you listen to both CD's back to back. The first CD teases you. It flicks all the switches, turns all the knobs and checks the lights. Putting out feelers in different directions and gives you hints of your possible destination. It's in CD2 that you know you're moving. The wheels are up as the ground falls away. Destination still unknown, but the smile on your face is enough to tell everybody you don't care. It's the getting there that's all the fun. Those Danny Tenaglia fans whom have waited the six years or so for another of his compilations you'll be greeted with a little of the familiar, a lot of the new and glimpse of a very inciting future, all with the unique Danny Tenaglia signature. His work reminds you of why you love music and how great you feel when it surprises you. This CD really does show Danny is still pointing the way and wherever he decides to take us next, all I can ask is ....save me a seat. Mike Lawrence

Is this really what Danny thinks of the future?
Im not in the best mood given my flight to Chicago was canceled tonight and tomorrow morning. Anyway, Im not on a flight now and I dont have to get up early for my 6AM flight since it was canceled. That gave me a free evening to listen to Futurism which I received today in the mail. While it's not the worst cd Ive heard, it clearly is amongst the most non-memorable. It is characterized by tracks which are very repetitive and not very unique between tracks. Very limited vocals other then some hooks which dont add much to the overall experience. I dont think this will go down as Danny's best work, nor do I think it will get much attention. I dont think this is what the future of dance/electronica holds. Maybe Danny should stick to what he knows and what he knows will work going forward. I think he was experimenting with this release, and hopefully he will learn from the experiment and return to things he knows best. However, like the previous reviewer perhaps i need to give this more time and the subtleties will perhaps grow on me over time. Hey! Its happened before.

I need to hear this some more.
Just sat through this once. I'm hoping it will grow on me. Danny takes it up a notch on this latest release. Sounds more like what he does 'live', not much of a album I wanna listen to at home or in my car, more club style. I was expecting a little more soul/vocals classic tracks, but then again, it is the time of "FUTURISM", so he's sticking to that concept. :::maybe Danny should go back to hunting his OWN tracks::: Come on Danny, you know we love you!
