Reviews:
Some Tight Hooks, But This is a Carbon Copy.... of Fall Out Boy's "Take this to your Grave." And again, not that this is a bad thing. The best song by far on this album is "First one on the Blog," which sounds great, but it is VERY, VERY, VERY similar to Midtown's "Get it Together." As a matter of fact, the vocalist in this group is an exact hybrid between Gabe Saporta (Midtown, Cobra Starship) and Patrick Stump (Fall Out Boy). Again, this is not a bad thing. But Farewell really needs to distinguish themselves on their next release. With this genre of music, it is best to do so by dropping a devastating set of hooks (like "All Time Low" did on their latest release), rather than drastically altering their sound, and falling off the face of the earth, like Wakefield, Starting Line, Midtown, Something Corporate, MEST, The Ataris......get my point? |
