Reviews:
Second best TI CD TI ain't new to the game. He first came out with im serious; which to this day still gets rotation. TI had some classic cuts on there such as still ain't forgave myself and hotel. He collab with mostly southern artists on their albums and a few r&b artists also. Most people was introduced to TI on his second cd entitled trap muzic which had summer cuts such as 24'ss and rubberband man. TI blew up after that. I don't need to go into the whole TI/LIL FLIP beef going on during that period. Even though this CD came out last year, I still jam it every once in a while. He really came hard with this cd. He was hungry and it showed. My cut's on here include king back, front back; which samples a UGK classic, what you know; the summer and club jam of 06, live in the sky. He dedicated that song to his fallen homies and those serving time in jail. Very deep; personal song. Other jams I was feeling was im straight, undertaker, ride with me, top back and bankhead. If you are a TI fan, cop this and the underrated trap muzic. T.I.- King T.I has always been one of the more popular rappers. Everyone knows who he is and everyone likes him. But he really went out on a limb when he started sayin that he was king. I mean at the time he started sayin all that, he was still just another good rapper. And then he dropped King. And he shook the game up with this album. This was the first rap album since Get Rich or Die Tryin dropped that about half of america bought the week it came out. The only difference was that King was actually worth buying unlike 50s album. And then he started dropping singles that it seemed like every time you turned on the radio you heard something from T.I. And thats when he could officially say he was running the game. Because every time i got in the car a song from King was blaring out of my stereo. I mean the singles alone make the album worth buying from the rollin wit your dawgs "What You Know" to the reminiscent loss of a friend "Live In The Sky". Every single he dropped from this album was a huge hit. Thats when he locked the King title. And thats why King was a perfect name for the album. But that does not mean the album was flawless, like there was still a decent amount of filler on it like the flat out just boring songs "Told You So" and "You Know Who" just to name a few. But that said this album is still a great album and worth buying. I mean everyone loves the fast party starter "Get It" and the just flat out good "King Back" the only way to describe that song is perfect. I mean even if you dont like T.I. it worth buying, because this is gonna be the best rap album your gonna be able to find because the whole rap scene is just weak besides Young Buck, T.I., and Jeezy. And of those three T.I. has got the crown by a long wrong so buy IT!
Grade:
B The King T.I. definently earned the crown with this CD. More than 'King of the South', he's the 'King of Rap' right now. Not one bad song on the album. When you put it in, you have to hear it all, can't just listen one. Love this CD The bass in this CD is awesome. I love listening to it in my car with my subs. Particularly loud are "Front Back", "Ride Wit Me" (which I can't listen to on full volume, since it rattles my brain), and my personal favorite, "Top Back". "Top Back" starts out with almost no bass, but quickly adds a mean bass line and, after TI proclaims "here comes the trouble homie", the lyrics. This is my S***! I got that get it get it get it when you need it can't finish the rest to explicit but basically this cd is hot I love T.I.'s southern flow. My favorites are What you know, Get it, Standup guy, and You know who. This cd is a must have for T.I. fans. |
