Me Against the World

Bought on Release date---
bought this on release date....seems like forever ago (14 yrs ago)...favorite album to date....so far, hope we can all get another artist of this caliber soon. If you cant get this album, you cant get tupac. In my opinion, this is his best album. All eyez on me and makaveli is str8 too tho. we all know that ;)

Me Against the World.
Pac's Best Is This(In no Particular order): Me Against the World, All Eyez on Me, Makaveli, before his Mama and family starting remixing his stuff and doing collabos with rappers who Pac Never liked in Life. He's my Favorite rapper, Despite my Conservative Republican Beliefs and his Radical background(at least he didn't wear a che shirt) This Cd is great, Heavy on the Social message pre-deathrow, right around the time he was accused by some mutt, sitting in Jail. Favorite Songs on here: Lord Knows, Outlaw, Me Against The World and Dear Mama, Game is been good to me/Richie Rich, Around this time the outlawz(some of them) were on here, but under the nom de guere : Dramacydal. Great CD.

One of the Greatest Rap Albums
2Pac's Me Against the World captures perfectly the dichotomy of this challenging figure: he alternates between tracks that glorify and deride the game, managing to play both roles with equal conviction. "If I Die 2Nite" opens the record on an appropriately chilling note, while the surprisingly tender "Dear Mama" is a refreshing change of pace and one of 2Pac's best moments. This album is steeped in '70s influences; a Stevie Wonder sample is particularly effective on the best cut, "So Many Tears." 2Pac pays his respects on "Old School," gets romantic on "Can U Get Away," and gets angry on "F*** the World." Together, these tracks make for a compelling listen and one of the best rap albums of all time. 5 Stars.

MASTERPIECE!
What new can be said about this CLASSIC album that hasn't been said in the previous 250 or so other reviews! This is a fantastic album full of meaningful, thoughtful and thought provoking lyricism. So many great songs such as: If I Die 2Nite, Me Against The World, So Many Tears, Young N****z, Old School, [...] The World, Death Around The Corner, Can U Get Away and of course Dear Mama which is not only the best song on the album but one of the best in 2pac's catalogue. That song always gives me goosebumps, so powerful and sincere. No one but 2pac could do a great song like that. The only song I didn't feel was Heavy In The Game. Bottom line is, if you havn't got this yet go out and buy it or if you're not sure lend it off someone. You'll be glad you did. Well worth it. This really is one of the best Rap/Hip Hops albums of all time and deserves all the praise it has had and will continue to have. UNDOUBTED CLASSIC

the greatest
this is the greatest rap album of all time. the emotions showcased in it are untouchable. songs like if i die 2nite, me against the world, so many tears, temptations, young niggaz, heavy in the game, lord knows, dear mama, it aint easy, old school, f*** the world, death around the corner, and outlaw are classic rap tracks. even the intro is a classic rap track. so basically, every track on this CD is a classic. the greatest CD from the greatest rapper. RIP.
