Reviews:
Works for me! I don't remember what made me buy this album but I am glad I did.
I am always looking for something good out of the mainstream and
this album fits the bill. Down to earth, no over production with
some catchy tunes and good lyrics. Stoned In The Studio If you've seen Stoney live, this album may seem a little subdued.
Sometimes a studio recording doesn't capture the soul of a song like a live recording. But there's no doubt Stoney's soul is in what he's doing. Flatwoods Brass Great music! Great voice!Fits right in with my Radney, Roger, Pat, Cory, Randy and Jack! Red Dirt Album Years ago watching Stoney perform in Stillwater, OK it was not hard to tell where his talent might take him. While live shows are Stoney's forte, he has put together a very solid studio album. A look in the liner notes of the album will reveal a mass of talent with the likes of Mike McClure, Scott Evans, Cody Canada, Ray Wylie Hubbard, and many more. From brand new tracks like "One Chord Song" and "Solid Gone" to old favorites like "Bluebird Wine" and "Forever Young" that Stoney has layed down in his own way, this album is a sure hit for anyone that has a nose for talent. |
