Here is a collection of some of my favorite children's songs covering my many years of being a dad. I consider these mostly classic compositions, beautiful and simple; some written for movies, some haunting standards and a few written by contemporary singers for their own children. Of all the things my kids and I have done together, the quiet times of night-songs and bedtime snuggles will endure as my most precious memories. I can still see Crosby's face as a little one begging me for "more, Daddy, more, more" of "Winnie The Pooh" (as he called it), or rocking Cody to "To-Ra-Loo-Ra" (if he didn't fall asleep before we made it to his bedroom). And it's not over yet. I'm still singing to Isabella and on into the future to Luke. And I'm loving it. They're my best audience, even if my only applause is the deep slow breathing of a sleeping baby. Delicious. So at long last, the work of a lifetime. Never gets old.
I first heard this album 16 years ago when my sister had young children. I wanted to get it when my children were born. I love it even more now then I did back then. Wonderful lullabyes for the baby an playful songs that will bring you reminiscing over your childhood.
Not a new cd
While the cd does work well and I enjoy the music, I was a little upset to find that I did not receive a factory-sealed brand-new cd. I received a used copy. There is black writing on my cd and while it was re-wrapped, it did not have the seal that cds have. I wish I would have know this before purchasing.
Soothing music for children and adults

The first Kenny Loggins song I heard was Your Heart Will Lead You Home at the end of The Tigger Movie. The movie and lyrics touched me so much that I searched for the soundtrack, and I had a lovely surprise - more children's songs sung by Kenny Loggins! I bought both Return to Pooh Corner and More Songs from Pooh Corner immediately.
I find the songs on both albums comforting and calming especially when I am upset, troubled or cannot sleep. Kenny Loggin's voice is lovely and so soothing.. perfect for these children's songs. My favourites from both albums are Neverland Medley, Return to Pooh Corner, The Last Unicorn, Your Heart Will Lead You Home, You'll Be In My Heart, Flying Dreams and Beauty and the Beast. Some of the songs make me cry and some bring back memories, for example Somewhere Out There in the Neverland Medley... I remember my mother taking my sister and I to see An American Tail when we were kids.
Loooove it!
This a great cd. I love every song on it. It is very mellow and great for going to sleep to.
Return to Pooh Corner
This CD is WONDERFUL. My 2 year old son and I listen to it in the car and everytime he listens to it he falls asleep! What a wonderful sleepy time CD this is. I recommend this to all parents to help get their little ones to sleep peacefully!
