Then, I ve Got My Love to Keep Me Warm comes from the ambitious Hooray for Hollywood double-album that she recorded with Frank DeVol in 1959, while Deck the Halls with Boughs of Holly (first U.S. release!) is the only finished song from a shelved holiday album Doris began with DeVol that same year. Here Comes Santa Claus; Ol Saint Nicholas; Christmas Story; Silver Bells, and The Christmas Song (with Les Brown & His Orchestra) are all single sides she cut for Columbia from 1946 to 1950, while Silent Night and Christmas Greeting from Doris are unreleased tracks, the first from her early- 50s radio show, the second from her late- 60s TV show for CBS. The set winds up with an emotionally-charged reading of Let No Walls Divide taken from the all-star Christmas album We Wish You the Merriest Columbia released in 1951 to promote stars like Johnny Cash, Aretha Franklin and Andre Previn as well as Doris. We can t think of a vocal star we d rather have over for Christmas we think this Collectors Choice Music exclusive will be a perennial holiday favorite in your home for years to come. This is a great CD. It's a nice collection of soft, mellow Christmas tunes, along with a few more lively fun tunes. It was a great way to get into the Christmas spirit.

Memories
First , a little story................Years ago, in the 60's , some of you may remember , that Auto Service Stations , sold yearly Christmas albums. These were often called Treasury Albums , featuring , Varius Atrists . So was the case , at the "Goodyear" Station my parents went to. My brother and I delighted in our Mother bringing home the next volumne in the series ever year.
This was our intro. to the greats of the time, including Doris Day.
My Mother loved her rendition of Silver Bells , from one such album , and she would play it , as we decorated our tree. This is one of my fondest Christmas memories . Those albums are long gone now . When I saw this edition being sold on CD , I had to have it.
It's like a visit from an old friend . You'll love it too , no regrets here............... 4 stars.
Beautiful voice!
Doris Day does not disappoint in this Christmas CD. Her voice is unforgettable and one of my all time favorites, no matter the season!
That Old Christmas Feeling
If this cd does not put you in the Christmas mood nothing will.
Quiet,soothing and sweet this will take you back to those days of
Christmas parties and happy times. Even if your not a Doris fan (not that this is possible) you will love it.Some of the songs I had heard before some not but here they all are with a special holiday greeting from Doris herself. Christmas has passed but I still put this on.
I give this the highest rating I can. Buy it now you wont be sorry.
