Reviews:
A "MUST HAVE" Soundtrack This is the type of soundtrack that, once I saw the movie, I had to have the soundtrack. The movie was great, but the soundtrack made the movie what it was. James Horner creates this extremely emotional soundtrack that, at some points, can bring you to tears. "Never So Alone" is one that is absolutely beautiful. That was by far my favorite. If you love movie soundtracks as much I do, don't hesitate to add this to your collection. Amazing soundtrack!!! This soundtrack of the movie Radio is brilliant! Love 90% of the songs, with absolute conviction. The sound is amazing. I listen to it over and over again. If you love some classical and mostly older Motown, with a little bit of older classic rock thrown in the mix, then this is the CD for you. Shipping problems I was pleased when I finally received the product but it was triple the expected time length. Awesome CD!!! The Original Score by James Horner are some of my favorites of his. Very well written in a way that matches the mood of the movie perfectly. Also has some wonderful recordings of some classic songs!!! A great buy for any music lover!! Turn Up the Radio James Horner does it again with Radio. I love the theme from this movie. Sadly there's only about 20 mins of score on this CD but at least it's good stuff. India Arie lends her vocal talents to the score giving it that trademark Horner sound (Titanic, Beautiful Mind). I keep finding myself going back to this score when I need a break. The main theme is used quite a bit in the score but it's the different orchestrations and variations that James uses that make this a very pleasant listening experience. Horner always delivers when it comes to tear-jerking dramas and Radio is no expception. My only complaint is that I wanted to hear more score and instead we get the typical classic rock soundtrack compilation with a little bit of score. At least the score that you get on the CD is great and worthy of repeat listening. If you haven't seen the movie or heard the music, I would highly recommend it! |
