Feels Like Today
Feels Like Today

Somewhat remarkably, the youthful trio Rascal Flatts has an uncanny ability to sound 20-something going on 13. They are often dismissed as just another slick, contrived "boy band," though that hasn't kept them from chart-topping success. Admittedly, these Rascals do sound slick a...
Some Hearts
Some Hearts

Would American Idol winner Carrie Underwood have landed a major-label recording contract without winning the hugely popular television contest? Probably. The big-voiced Oklahoman has the pipes, the look, the pedigree, and, most important, the emotional resonance to sustain a pro...
Melt
Melt

Country music's hottest boy band really doesn't do anything that hasn't already been done just as well or better by earlier country-pop "all-guy" bands like Diamond Rio and Restless Heart. Yet Rascal Flatts' pretty harmonies, so full of painful earnestness and pubescent yearning,...
Greatest Hits, Vol. 2
Greatest Hits, Vol. 2

Tim McGraw's second greatest-hits collection in six years is also his ninth consecutive debut at #1 on the Billboard country charts. That means he must be doing something right. But what, precisely, aside from keeping up his hunk factor, and maturing his voice? Well--choosing dyn...
Enjoy the Ride
Enjoy the Ride

One of country's fastest-rising acts, Sugarland arrive at their follow-up to 2004's triple-platinum Twice the Speed of Life in a considerably altered state. Chief songwriter and founding member Kristen Hall is gone, and producer Garth Fundis (Trisha Yearwood) has been usurped in ...
Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing
Love, Pain & the whole crazy thing

It's tempting to read these songs--many about hope in the face of potential heartbreak--as an adjunct to Keith Urban's own tabloid-fodder life, which lately reads "ex-junkie country star marries Nicole Kidman, enters rehab." But his three previous albums have similar dark underto...
Daughtry
Daughtry

Chris Daughtry starts his first post-American Idol disc with a song whose title reviewers coast to coast will be grateful for: "It's Not Over." What an understatement. For the Idol-watching rock fan's money, nobody--not even Southern-fried heartthrob Bo Bice in season four--storm...
Still Feels Good
Still Feels Good

Rascal Flatts has always been an anomaly in country music. Signed to the Disney label Lyric Street, they arrived in 2000 as essentially a trio (winning lead vocalist Gary LeVox fronted pin-up boy Joe Don Rooney on electric guitar and Jay DeMarcus on bass) that traveled and record...
Rascal Flatts
Rascal Flatts

No doubt, these suburban cowboys play country music for Friday-afternoon drive times and Saturday nights at the mall, not the honky-tonk, the ranch, or the porch. With harmonies as squeaky-clean as their faces, Rascal Flatts relish the pop and lite-groove direction that the genre...
Time Well Wasted
Time Well Wasted

Brad Paisley's previous release, Mud on the Tires, was the sort of landmark album nearly every artist has difficulty topping. Not so this time. On Time Well Wasted, Paisley's voice--never overwhelmed by overmixed instruments (a problem dogging many current vocalists)--remains kee...

Reviews:

Rascal Flatts Sucks on their confusing versions of the CD
Sooo, who in the heck would have a normal CD with 13 songs, an "enhanced" CD with 13 songs and yet another version... "extra tracks" that has 14 songs on it? What the WTFO? Rascal Flatts should have at least changed the cover or the name of the CD depending on the version you "may" actually get. Me and My Gang CD should have been combined or something so there wasn't 3 different versions. Shame on them and the producers of the CD!! Time to warn everybody to avoid Rascal Flatts till the get their act together and not have THREE CD's with the same name and different material on them.

This CD is Great
Wasn't a big fan until I bought this CD for 1 song. The whole thing is great.

One of my faves!
I got this cd for Christmas, along with a few others. This one has defintely been played the most (Except maybe my switchfoot cd) It's a great cd and all the songs are awesome. My favorite songs are Words I Couldn't Say, and Ellsworth. There's not a bad song on it and I'm surprised I haven't worn the cd out by now!

Thanks for making the choice easy
I am using the song "My Wish" for the mother/son dance at my son's wedding. He is in the Marine Corps and along way from home and this song says what I want to say to him. Of course, I will probably be blubbering all the way through it! It is hard to pick things my son will like for the wedding when he is not here to give me his opinion but I want the wedding to be special and what he and his bride will want. This song made at least one of my choices easy. Thanks, Rascal Flatts!

love this CD
My husband gave this CD to our daughter, Kaylee, when she moved out and told her to listen to My Wish, what a great song...she cried..
