Trans-Siberian Orchestra Christmas Piano [Tribute]

CopyCat label says it all.
Pretty bland interpretation of TSO music. No passion. No originality. No depth. I am quite disappointed. The use of TSO name in the CD title is a sham, qualified by the word "tribute". Quite a pale tribute to a wonderful group of musicians (the REAL TSO).

Great and Unexpected
My wife and I have bought many Trans-Siberian Orchestra CD's over the years and have enjoyed them. However, their Christmas Piano CD is something that we didn't expect from them and was one of the best Christmas - piano or otherwise - CD's that we've bought. To let you know our tastes, we've everything Christmas from the Nutcracker, to Windham Hill, to Country-Western, to Placido Domingo,to Andre Rieu, to Celtic Christmas, to all trombones, to Barry Manilow, to Lorie Line, to Tony Bennett, to Charlotte Church, to Mannheim Streamroller, to Vanessa Williams, to 1950's Christmas hits, to Elvis .... you name it, we've got it!! Thus, for us to say it's one of the best we've heard compares favorably to whatever Christmas music you like. If you've never had an instumental or piano Christmas CD, this is the one with which to start. If you do have piano or insrutmental Christmas CD's, add this one!

Good idea, bad result.
Translating TSO music into strictly piano would bring a new and interesting element to TSO. Unfortunatly the artist or artists who produced this CD used little imagination in composing their tribute. It sounds like an electronic keyboard was used for most of the recordings rather than a baby grand or upright piano. Using multiple musicians on several different pianos would have made this a remarkable CD. Instead it seems this was a quickly produced piece more to draw on the popularity of TSO music rather than be a respecfull tribute to it.

Absolutely beautiful piano music!
If you love Trans-Siberian Orchestra, you will love this cd. It has all the power of the orchestra and exactly the same music only without words. I listen to all their music...been to their concerts..Buy this!! You won't be disappointed!

Since this item has STILL not arrived at my house after a MONTH, I cannot give a review of the item but I can give you a review of Amazon. They really are pathetic. They take your money and then don't give a rat's backside about whether or not you get what you paid for. Thanks again Amazon for living down to my expectations.
