Craig David is back! Though he has continued to be a major R&B star in the U.K.—with 11 Top 10 singles hits— the smooth singer-songwriter has not been heard in the U.S. for a few years. Trust Me, which debuted Top 20 in late 2007 in the U.K., spurred by the Top 10 "Hot Stuff (Let’s Dance)," returns David to center stage in America. Trust Craig David to stay there.

Reviews:

Craig David-Trust Me
I like it. There are some really good songs on here. I've always been a fan of his, so it was nice to hear something new

Mr. Craig Ashley David
It's kind of funny how I found out about this album. I was sitting at my cpmputer one day an asked myself. Where is Graig David? And I searched the web and low and behold I found the Album "Trust Me". And I bought it on a whim. And I enjoy the album a great deal. For example I like how he incorporated "Trust Me" which is the title of the album into the song "Don't Play With Our Love" and managed to put a little of a latin flavor among other geners of music as well though out the album. I guess What I'am trying to say is that Mr.David didn't pigeon hold himself as an artist when it came to making this album. Which is What I enjoy the most about the album. For the track "She's On Fire" I like the caribbean influence within the song. There are so many elements to the "6&1 Thing" that you would have to listen in detail for evey instrument. It also has a good message in there as well. If I had to chose a favorite song it would have to be "6&1Thing". ,But I enjoy the album as a whole. "Just A reminder" is a beauitful mid tempo ballad. "Friday Night" is a great party track. In closing the only thing I dislike about the album was the taught guy image in the pictures of the album. Other then that, this album is for you unconditional true blue Craig Ashley David fans out there in the world such as I'am.

Warning: This review was written by a Craig David stan!
First let me say that I am a Craig David fan. You might even be able to say I'm a Stan for his music. I have been since the first time I heard 7 Days on Born To Do It. Because of my Stan status, you can rightfully assume that I am biased. Now that the disclaimer is out of the way; this is my very favorite Craig David album. If you listen to BTDI and then listen to this one, you can see just how much he has matured as a singer. He has always had one of the best voices around (remember, I'm a Stan) but I think he truly shines when he's taking chances and singing music that you would never expect him to sing. Now don't get me wrong, Top of the Hill, is the worst song I have heard from him ever. It's one of the worst songs I have ever heard period. Yet, the album shines with every other track. Unbelievable and Awkward are stand-outs for me. I have heard people say that they like BTDI, but that he changed his style on subsequent albums, and they just don't like his music anymore. That is very understandable becuase his music has matured since 2001. IMHO, if you like good music, pick this one up. You can get it used for $2.47 which would be a steal even if it was a Taylor Hicks album (well, maybe I shouldn't push it that far).

Wow...not too good
I really wanted to love this album. I love every CD that Craig David has made. "Trust Me", however, is the exception. Craig David's music is usually very melodic..the perfect mix of R&B and pop. He really missed the mark this time around. Don't get me wrong, every song isn't horrible. But most songs lack melodic appeal. They are nondescript and not memorable. The only ray of sunlight on this whole album is "Officially Yours", which seems closest to what Craig David has done in the past. I understand that artists should grow and change from album to album, but the change should be an improvement. Hopefully, he'll do better next time. I'm a disappointed fan for the first time.

Weak.
What happened to the effortless flow and smooth beats of CD's first two albums? He seems to be forcing the energy in this album. It isn't working. And the single has a sample that's been used over and over again in the last ten years. How about some originality or at least an original sample. Weak.
