Reviews:

Gothic Elevator Music
This is background music, not a symphony, soundtrack, or goth music. FYI - it's EXTREMELY repetitive at times and often the synths sound too much like synths, but it's really made for haunted houses, Halloween parties, and the occassional satanic orgy, not for listening to on your ipod. Nearly every review (good and bad) has been accurate in that regard. If you want something soundtrack oriented but more dynamic or musically interesting, get the Nox Arcana albums, or if you want vocals, Nightwish. They're mildly similar, but much livelier. That said, it's very good at what it does - dark background/elevator music for the dentist's chair in hell (or your attraction or party). The Midnight Syndicate CDs are more or less the official haunted house/Halloween party soundtrack besides Nox Arcana. Listen to both bands. Then pick the one that works better for your party or attraction. IMO, the MS albums are more holiday oriented and the NA albums are more darkwave/goth than holiday and attraction oriented (and better for personal listening), but your mileage may vary.

Absolutely fantastic!
It's been six years since I ordered this Cd from Amazon, and I love this Cd even today in 2008. Midnight Syndicate has done a very good job on this. Yes, it has less sound effects, but that is to be expected, because, as the title suggests, these are symphonies, and you can add your own Halloween sound effects to accompany these dark symphonies from the crypt. All the tracks on this Cd, with your own Halloween Sound effects, as well as your own spooky poetry are guaranteed to make your hair stand on end, and have sweat rolling down your neck. Also, if you listen to this for Halloween, you'll be getting screams of terror from the kids and adults for years to come. This is a great Cd to add to your scary music collection. Highly recommended. Buy it...if you dare.

Disturbing, Wonderful Music
Now what is that that comes to my ears? The sound of an organ reverberating inside of an "abondoned" crypt, seducing me with the promise of fulfilling my dark desires. Luring me deeper and deeper into a hauntingly beautiful world where vampires roam... Yet another masterpiece by some of the night's most talented minstrels.

Vampyre : Symphonies from the Crypt.
Midnight Syndicate hits this one out of the park with a hauntingly orchastrated soundscape for the undead. An excellant soundtrack to take along with you on those nightly jaunts through the cemetary when seeking out hungry bloodsuckers.A chilling sometimes melodic compilation.Midnight Syndicate never disapoints.

I iwsh i had this album years ago
I always describe the music of the MIdnight SYndicate as being perfect for horror moods, haunted attractions, and role playing gamers; Vampyre : Symphonies from the Crypt really is perfect for all those groups at the same time. if there was a way for me to listen to this while playing a game of White Wolf's World of Darkness, in costume (i gues sLARPing would be the term) in the middle of a haunted house, this owuld be the perfect soundtrack to that event. I've been a horror fan since i can remember, as a young boy i spent years in the projection booth of a theater with my dad as he showed movies like Jaws 3d and night of the living dead (in color). This album strikes a chord with my inner roots of horror. if i could have grown up listening to this album, i would have happily done so. in my later years i spent a lot of my time playing Vampire the masqueare and dark ages, this would have been an awesome mood setter. someone reviewed this saying it oculd have hit it out of the cemetary, well i feel they did hit it out of the graveyard. this album is fantastic, unfortunately amazon does not have the option for you to listen to it here on site, i know (being a five star nerd) that some of the better game shops will have this in stock and will often play it, so if you live in am area that has a good game shop, as them to play this, or just buy it here and make them play it. scratch that, buy this album and make people listen to it.
