Reviews:
Mixed Message Cursing just to curse is something that I outgrew in junior high. And (loudly, obscenely and repeatedly) railing against corporate rock while putting copy protection on your CD is just one of the worst kinds of hypocrisy. Buy it This album is filled with juvenile trash talk, violence, and sex. The things that HED pe is made out of...I love it. This cd keeps getting played over and over again. Maybe its not their best, thats a matter of opinion, but its definitely not their worst. Buy it! Its worth it...
By the way, what does being a republican have to do with taste in music?? bad This cd is horrible. The lyrics are mostly focused toward one thing ,sex. Its almost as if each song is a continuation of the other. "The industry is dumbing down the nation" was the lyrics on one of the songs, but I think this album and albums like it are dumbing the nation. I was a fan of hep pe , was. This CD is good. In my opinion, damn near evey track on this cd is great, I don't know what these fools below me are talking about. Yes "Broke" was good, and "Blackout" was not so good, but this cd has to be my favorite yet. Why do the lyrics need analyzed?? They're silly and entertaining. Isn't that what music is supposed to do, entertain? "The Truth" and "Daydreams" are two really good tracks. I realize this review isn't super helpful, but I have to defend this cd against the Conservative Republican reviews put on here. maybe (hed) pe's worst... but still (hed) pe This is easily probably (hed) pe's worst album with maybe the exception of "blackout". But what people need to understand is Hed's rythym section took a serious hit with this album with the loss of two great guitarists wesstyle and Chizad and a great drummer B.C. So with that in mind the quality of the music isn't going to be as great as it used to be but they still do the job. There are some great (hed) p.e. classics on this Album with kick off track "Represent" also: "wake up" "war" "Voices" and "raise hell". The hidden rap song at the end of the CD is also a pleasent surprise. However there are some songs that just should have never been put on here that do drag the album down and just simply don't cut it. Mainly "the Truth" and "amerikan beauty". All in all there is still some raw (hed) pe material on here that any true fan can vibe with. I'm just thankful that (hed) pe is still around and they prove that they can still get down. It's only up hill from here thankfully. Check out "Back to Base X" and upcoming Album "insomnia". |
