Wow; I was immediately floored, stopped listening to it for several months only to pick it up again and...
...I cannot stop listening to this album! I could be in the darkest of moods an' these songs just create a tunnel of light for me. It doesn't carve out any perspective on the world's problems for me an' let me tell you I'm GLAD! Its an escape an' a beautiful, engaging, good rockin' fun one at that.
I was driving through a torrential downpour last night here in Charlotte after a day of life that seemed ta pin me down an' humilate me grossly and unjustly. In an atypical, uncharacteristic move since I usually feed my frustrations, I let this album STILL blare from my factory speakers. I couldn't see where I was driving and almost got flood stuck a few times, but I may as well been on vacation it boosted my spirits so much.
There is not a bad song on this disc, it flows perfectly from front ta back; its sentimental, it stays with you, it tests you, it changes you, even when you try ta take it back, you can't help but fall in love with it again and again! This album was made for me (and you); its got a hold on me, it lifts me outta the black hole of despair. I shoulda known better, but its got me! Zooey is a sweet darlin', an' Ward swings low on the chariot with her!

Wonderful album. We listen to it on repeat and dance around. My 3 yr old loves singing along.
Definitely Worth the Purchase
This is honestly such a good album from the beginning to the end. Zooey shows that she is a woman of many talents. She definitely has musical and acting talent. It is similar to the album that Pete Yorn and Scarlett Johansson put out. I would definitely recommend this album.
sweet Zooey lullaby
She has such a beautiful voice. This is the album I used to watch baseball with, instead of listening to the annoying announcers speak. It has some classics on it, 'You Really Got A Hold On Me' and its the best. The rest is too the work of genius. It makes my day every time I put it on.
Awesomely awesome
I LOVE this album. OK, how could she possibly put a foot wrong with M.Ward ... but this album proves Zooey is an accomplished closet pop star in her own right. She REALLY can sing and adds a very dominating influence over the album's style. I keep thinking quirky Beatles-style mixing, 60's girly pop - but in a very good way. Totally addictive and I would rate in my favourite of 2009.
