Prodcut Description: [More Information ...]
Drive-Thru Records’ recording artist, Hidden In Plain View will release Resolution on July 24th, 2007. Resolution is the follow-up to 2005’s Life In Dreaming and sadly, Resolution is the final release from this beloved New Jersey band. Resolution proves HIPV learned much from their time together by and through years of performing live. The album kicks off in grand HIPV style with Bendy possibly the best song by HIPV to date, catchy and charming as hell. The rest of the album charges with big rock numbers, like Like An Ocean and Heavy Breathing and slower paced but powerful songs like The Lake House. Touted as one of the greatest bands to emerge from the North Jersey music scene, HIPV couldn’t have ended on higher note than Resolution. With Life In Dreaming and a self-titled EP, HIPV has a combined sales history of more than 86K records sold.

Reviews:

...what a find
i can count on one hand the albums i have enjoyed the entire way through, where its not necessary to skip songs that don't do it for me. well add another... I'm guessing anyone who likes Boys Like Girls, the second All-American Rejects album, and Jimmy Eat World's faster songs, will love this. both singers sound very similar to the shrilly Boys Like Girls dude. high energy power pop, utterly pleasant. drummer is excellent, lots of great double bass stuff really drives the songs. too bad they broke up apparently? personal favorites: Bendy Walk Harbor City Circles Off My Shoulders The Lake House

Great Sophomore Effort!!!
Resolution is the very impressive, mature, second full-length album from Hidden In Plain View. I was a big fan of their first album, Life in Dreaming, and I am an even bigger fan of this one. They took their strengths and used them very well, creating a very grown-up version of themselves. I was honestly impressed and am very sad to hear that HIPV has broken up. A definite buy if you liked the first CD!

R.I.P Hidden In Plain View
I was really dissapointed to hear that Hidden In Plain View were calling it quits back in January. But I was excited to hear that the last album would be coming out on July 24th 2007. Especially since that's my birthday. If you were always a fan of this band, this is definatly the CD of theres to own. It's a rock / emo masterpiece. My personal favorite track was #4 wich was "Heavy Breathing" and it includes other great songs such as "Bendy" but overall this album left me breathless and took me to a place I havent been in a long time, it's so amazing.

THE best CD - EVER!
I had to revise my review for Trespassers William's HAVING (2006, Nettwerk) 'cause I forgot about this bottle of happiness! I'm the kind of dude who can't listen to the same album over and over and over and over...some albums I can do that with for a day or two, but usually I end up getting rid of those albums. Not this one. This CD is, for once, UP-LIF-TING! I mean, really; how much music out there really raises your spirits except for religious music (which doesn't work if you don't believe in the religion that is being sung/performed about in the song(s))? There's a few pop songs that get me going sometimes (that "500 Miles" song by The Proclaimers, "Come On Eileen" by Dexy's Midnight Runners, "Friday I'm In Love" by The Cure and several others if I'm in the mood for 'em). But this is a "proper" album, 12 songs by the same artist, that elevate the emotional state of myself way more than the aforementioned songs. This is a beautiful, energetic, euphoric, peaceful (although still loud) CD. I have owned probably at least 500 CDs since I became old enough to know what I like and ask for it/buy it, but I honestly have never heard a CD that does to me what this CD does.

A great finale
As of this year I have been nothing but disappointed by releases of my favourite bands.. until I heard HIPV's new cd. They slightly evolve their sound from Life in Dreaming.. its more refined, more silky .. its not as raw and in your face. Joe's voice is so beutiful in some of the songs here .. it's a goddamn shame we won't see this great band evolve even more. But a sweet and smooth ride it is, and I'm loving every minute of it. If you loved LiD .. you'll love this, or at least like it. Stand out songs (after 2 hours of listening..) : Walk Harbour City Off my shoulders Something needs to change
