Reviews:
A Reflection of Better Days at Windham Hill I've had this one in my collection since its initial release on cassette, and it's always been a favorite. There wasn't another Sampler from Windham Hill for three more years, and that 1992 Sampler marked the unfortunate end of William Ackerman's stewardship of the label and its subsequent decline. The high points are Saisse's "Rameau's Nephew," Aaberg's "Walking Through Walls" piano/guitar duet with Michael Hedges, Simon's "Usually/Always," Cossu's "Manhattan Underground," McCandless's "Sojourner," and of course Ackerman's own "Floyd's Ghost." |
