Reviews:
About "Because I Love You So" "Because I Love You So" (BILYS) is 5:35 long and Heaven sent. BILYS is one of those tunes that will live on and on in your heart, mind and your soul. "Falling Rain" (3:42) and "Remembering" (6:20) from the same CD are very good too. May the joy I receive listening to BILYS effect and benefit the entire Universe. So be it! Divinely Inspired with Mystical Qualities: Would You Like to Listen to a Piece of Heaven? One evening, I was reading a book while sitting in my Lazy Boy recliner in my basement den, not too far from my personal altar. I was listening to the "Soundscapes" channel on my digital-cable TV, #433 in Richmond, Virginia (a Divine numerical sequence, coincidentally). Suddenly, I heard a song that was so beautiful that it made me look up from my book. It was called "Because I Love You So," by a musician named Jim Jenkins.
I purchased the CD and found all of the other pieces on the album mesmerizing too. When I played it as background music for meditation, which I generally do not do unless it's music that really moves me and I'm in the right mood, it brought tears to my eyes several times because of the Divine thoughts and feelings that it elicited.
I was playing it on my computer with a wonderful, music-activated imaging system which features a tunnel-like image that changes color depending on the properties of the sound. The tunnel reminds me of the near-death experience (N.D.E.) that I had at age 12 in 1972. This system is very sensitive, and I have noticed how certain pieces of especially spiritual music seem to produce colors that are associated with the chakras and Heaven.
I was amazed at the color variations that were produced when I played the song "Because I Love You So," combinations and intensities that I never have witnessed before on my computer screen - pure golds and whites, serene greens, ascending violets, and deep blues. In my humble opinion, this music has been produced with the help of the Holy Spirit who is the Source of all True and lasting artistic inspiration.
"Jim's music is like floating on a cloud with Angels providing the soundscape." - Aquarius Magazine. I copied the latter quote from the CD cover because I totally agree.
According to Jenkins' biography which I found on the internet, "The yardstick in determining which of his songs had merit was rather simple. Jim only recorded music that moved him to tears of joy." I definitely can believe it.
I shared the song "Because I Love You So" with some of my friends who are spiritually inclined. I'm an amateur singer and guitar player. Ditto for my friend Natalie who also is an accomplished violinist. Natalie sent me an email that contained the following less than 24 hours after I emailed her the song "Because I Love You So." Note: the latter song is an instrumental piece and contains no "apparent" lyrics:
"I could hear words when I listened to the music. It was the most bizarre thing. I could hear them clear as a bell and realize I am not alone in this struggle-God told me in the music He will always be there! Pretty cool!! Thanks and much love. Natalie."
Note: Natalie is a married, church-going, mother of two, who also holds down a very responsible professional job that regularly takes her around the country. She is not mentally deranged and does not consume drugs or alcohol, and neither do I. She told me that she was planning on buying the CD as soon as possible.
I also emailed the song to Mary Ellen, who is known professionally and on her websites as "The Angel Scribe." She is an "international best-selling author." The following was her reaction:
"This is Jim Jenkins from the Seattle area? I have 3 of his CD's, they are wonderful. Angelic Blessings, Mary Ellen 'Angel Scribe.'"
The music on this CD reminds me of Heaven and The Angels. What more can my friends and I say? Thanks God, Holy Spirit, and Jim Jenkins. Smile.
Worth the purchase One day while rocking my 3 month old granddaughter to sleep, I was listening to Soundscapes (#433 Tampa, FL) and the most beautiful song came on, "Because I Love You So" by Jim Jenkins. The song brought tears to my eyes and I felt such love. I even heard "words" to the song within my heart. Jim's music is exceptional, but BILYS is his Masterpiece. I have purchased two of these CD's because I lost one. I encourage you to also read the review by C.J. Martin "Thoth." They describe the music beautifully. I still play it for my granddaughters at nap time. By the second or third song, they are fast asleep. I sometimes am too! Perhaps the finest! This CD truly inspired me after the loss of a loved one.
The CD is both melodious & heart warming.
Jim Jenkins truly is a wonderful artist and my musical hero. |
