Works Fine...However
Your TV or Component must drop below 17 watts in standby mode to disconnect the Green Outlets. My Plasma TV would not disconnect the Green Outlets but the AV receiver did.

My hdtv, blu ray player, and home theater system were all connected to this Monster surge protector. Recently the power went out in my house while I was watching a movie. I started freaking out and hoping the equipment wasn't damaged. I reset the circuit breakers in the house and when the power came back on, first thing I did was goto the tv. I powered up everything with no problems! So signs of damage. So I am confident to say this product works.
The only con is the price. Monster products are more expensive compared to other brands that can do the same thing. I bought it because the reviews on here are good and it looks pretty neat with the lights and indicators. Because it looks nice, I also don't need to hide it. Plus, Amazon had a good deal on Monster products at the time I purchased this (November 2009) This surge protector has labels and 8 outlets so I can keep everything organized.
I got this in the frustration-free packing. It was secure and easy to open.
Don't Buy It!
The first arrived right on time, had 3 outlets that did not work. Exchanged for another one. That one had 4 outlets that did not work. Needless to say I returned it and did not replace with a third one.
Monster hd900 power outlet
Very good product.Plugged in my TV to the main power outlet and I can plug in any 3 devices to be turned off when the TV is off.It is very conveinent to know when I turn off my TV,the video game,blu-ray player and and amplifier will be turned off automatically.

Green Power and excellent design... Is not to big as other surge power... You have to buy this product
