Bought with not much of expectation. The watch really is good. Does what it is supposed to do.

Just got this and I love it! It's a PERFECT everyday watch! It's simple, classy, and clean looking! So cheap too - if you were to buy this watch in a store or in a mall it would easily be double what Amazon is charging. I got this watch because it's different from the few others that I own. I liked the Roman Numeral numbering on this watch - that adds a touch of class I think. I liked the hands with their white insets. I also REALLY liked that not only does it have the date, but the DAY of the week as well! Excellent for me because I ALWAYS forget the date. To top if off, it has the INDIGLO light! I didn't even know it had that! When you push in the dial, the whole face lights up! Very nice! This is the PERFECT watch. I don't know what the other reviewers are complaining about - I do not feel that this watch is "bulky" or too thick. Yes, it has some thickness to it, but I own other watches that are much thicker. I feel that this watch is the perfect size. The band IS a little tough - it's a little on the thick side BUT I like that: leather bands always loosen up over time and the fact that it's thick means it won't wear out so quick like all my other watches!!! It's a beautiful, simple watch. I highly recommend it. Pros: - Style - Price - Nightlight - Date has Day of the week as well - Size Cons: - None! I love this watch!!!!!!!!

Bulky, calendar is not working properly.

I give this watch a very low rating because the Amazon page gives the impression this would be a good, inexpensive, functional dress watch: "Add a classic complement to your business wear." Utterly false because the watch is a clunker. I do not have large wrists, but the watch is too thick to fit under a buttoned shirt sleeve. Also, the leather band is attractive but very stiff and almost heavy enough to be a belt. A lesser fault is that the hands reflect light in a way that makes reading them sometimes difficult. I think the basic appearance of the watch is excellent, but it is absolutely unsuitable for the advertised purpose. Amazon should always show the side views of its watches as well as the face-on view. I will explore a return, but I cracked the packaging in unwraping the watch (almost always the case these days with modern product packaging). Thus, the cost of return postage and a reduced refund probably just make this purchase a bad experience. I suggest strongly those looking at other Timex watches as well as watches from other makers be alert for the problems I had with this watch.
