excellent socks
I'm very hard on my footwear and quite picky about it as well. But I have to say I've only ever had good experiences with Columbia socks. I work in a refrigerated environment and am on my feet ALL day, and the two different types of Columbia heavy duty outdoors socks I wear have been nothing but excellent. They are definitely very warm and comfortable. They are breathable and very good at wicking away the moisture as well, so your feet aren't swimming in your boots! Keep in mind that these are slightly thicker than you're standard sock, so if you have tight fitting shoes you may want to think about getting a larger pair. It literally has taken two years of daily washing and wearing till they finally reached the end of their work life. If you are as demanding of your footwear as I am, I'm pretty sure you'll be quite pleased with these socks!
