i'm raiting this a 5 because i think it is a great deal compared to buying it on the american apparel site for $19.00. i did buy the black version of this skirt from the american apparel site. for my height, 5'4" i think it is perfect for me considering my legs aren't that long either. i wanted to get more colors but i wasn't really into the price after shipping. i saw this and was kind of iffy if i should get it and was wondering if it really was the same skirt i previously bought because of the reviews, and it was the exact same skirt. if i decide on another color i would definitely get it from this seller. if only the american apparel buyers of this skirt new of this price, i'm sure more people would be over here. just too comfortable. of course there are the edges people are complaining about, but i like it. havn't had the edges of my skits mess up at all yes and i've had my black one for some time now. i suggest maybe hand washing it or a delicate cycle.

good if you need something cheap to alter, but not for everyday
this skirt is really great if you need a plain, basic, solid colored unhemmed skirt for a project/costume/uniform, but i'd never wear it for everyday normal usage. i needed a plain black skirt for 14 girls to make uniforms, and it was perfect! just the right length, and the fact that it was unhemmed made it easier on me to do what i needed to do. if it was going to be worn as a normal piece of clothing though i don't think it would last very long.

Bah, this skirt looks weird and cheap. It is not sewn on the bottom, just cut.
