This book is great. It has been my bible for purchasing (& setting up my baby register) everything for my baby. My husband & I are first time parents and really didn't know what we really needed for the baby, but this book helped to get us in the right direction. Also we are on a tight bugdet considering I am no longer working & this book told us what was a waste of money & what was essential. I loved that! I like to get advise/reviews from family members & other people who have used the products I am interested in &/that have had children but some products have recalls or the last time some family members had a baby was anywhere from 5 -8 years ago. Alot has changed in that time. Also some parents reviews on products are based on the shipping or the box broken not on the actual product so the reviews are not helpful. The reviews in this book are based on the products & the manufacturers. This book has the most update to date info as possible. I would recommend this book to all parents that are not just looking for bargains, but for good products for their children.

Baby Bible
Walking through Babies R Us for the first time being first time pregnant was an overwhelming experience. This book at the very least helped my husband and I get more familiar with all the baby products out there. I always have this book on hand when out shopping for baby stuff. Great reviews on different brands, especially for specific big baby purchases that are important (strollers, gliders, cribs, etc.). A little difficult to navigate through the book and of course take everything with a grain of salt. Ask around and read reviews online too.

If you are a bargain hunter or just someone who can't get enough information about the things you buy this book is wonderful. We have found it to be a great starting guide for our baby purchasing and though sometimes I disagree with certain reviews of specific items this book helps you narrow down your choices in a very overcrowded baby item market.

Yes! *fist pump* FINALLY, I managed to get my pregnant wife a book that she likes. She has so many sticky notes and bookmarks and highlighted stuff in this book, it's nearly twice it's normal size. She's carried this to Baby's R Us to try out all of their A rated items (which are definitely not the most expensive items, for sure). This book will EASILY save you it's purchase price on the first things you need. It will help you register for practical baby items and not the latest-and-greatest-new mom-gotta-have-it stuff. Fathers-to-be, be a hero. Order this book.

Good book.
Baby bargains is a very informative book. I used it mainly when I had to buy the crib. There are so many crib manufacturers and so many to choose from. I was totally confused. The section on the crib helped me shortlist and buy the one that I wanted. I also liked the section on swings and bouncers although a detailed list would have been more helpful. I liked the baby registry items (the essentials) that the book recommends towards the end. I will be taking a look at their recommendation on strollers very soon. I also liked the section on bedding, like what is really needed and what is really a waste of money. Some real mom's tips/stories were very useful. That is how I found out about the Ultimate Cribsheet. I definitely recommend this book to would-be parents.
