In my line of work (Mothering 2 small children) I am on my hands and knees A LOT. I set out to find comfortable, durable, well fitting (I'm 5' 3") jeans and Carhartt made them. Thank you Carhartt.

made curvy
I bought a pair because I needed new work jeans - my old favorite Carhartts got really worn during the last haying - these have nice heavy duty denim and triple stitching on one side and invisible stitching on the other. I don't like the faded patch they bleached-a-bit on the front of the thighs and back to look "worn", I guess I wanted just solid dark blue, like jeans in the 70's, but I guess I can live with that. They are made curvy and even a size 4 has curves in the outer thigh that I don't, so I don't believe that I'll buy another pair because they sort of stand away from my thigh there, but maybe they'll relax over time. I like the elasticity in the denim. They seem just fine as a dirty work jean.
I've been wearing them out working and they're fairly comfortable, but for some reason they make my thighs look heavy - I guess they are quite roomy in the thigh and they stand away from your leg; I thought that if I worked in them they'd get worn in and look better ... but I won't buy another pair.
Great Women's work jeans
I've owned these jeans for over a year now and do a "man's" job. Women's jeans are not generally made to hold up to that kind of manual labor. These are good work jeans and they fit women!! The main problem that I've found with them is that when they wear out they wear at the to corners of the back pockets. I've had that happen with many other pairs of pants so I don't think it's a flaw in the particular pants. They come fairly long. I have about a 36 inch inseam and I wear work boots. I got these in 34 and they fit great. I'm not stepping on them and they aren't high waters. Also great for riding a motorcycle. I would think that they'd be decent horse back jeans as well but I haven't been on one for so long that I can't say for sure. If you're looking for good work jeans, these are.
CARHARTT, I SALUTE YOU!
I salute Carhartt, not only for these jeans, but for ALL of their women's products. Finally someone who takes the time to make rugged,durable products for women that ARN'T frilly and in pastel colors. Being a farmer I gladly put up with wearing men's clothes to get durabilty. Not the case any more. These jeans(and the rest of their women's line) fit great, look great, and LAST. And for you women who are like me... yes, they DO make your rear end look GREAT! :)
