Darn good socks
These socks are comfortable, warm, very well constructed, and fun in their quirky design. Though more expensive than your box-store socks, they are worth every penny.
Excellent for Diabetics and Those with Athlete's Foot
I have diabetes and need a snug fitting sock. I also have athlete's foot. Merino wool breathes and wicks moisture away from the foot which is critical to cure athlete's foot (along with fungal cream). My podiatrist likes this sock. My foot size is 13 wide and I wear an XL sock.

Best I've Ever Had
I bought these at the same time as I bought a few pairs of REI brand, and I can tell you that I'm always a little bit happier on mornings when I get to put on my Darn Tough brand socks. They also hold up well on multi-day outings.

I bought these socks as a stocking stuffer for my wife, hoping for a really good pair of durable socks to wear around the house, and I was sold by the Merino label for the wool - They were not bought for boots. They are Very Snug - so much so that she couldn't wear them for very long without actually making her feet cold. She has slender feet, and the size I bought should have fit her. Also, after the second wash (she kept wearing them to please me, I think), they started to show unexpected wear. They are guaranteed, but we chose not to go through the hassle for that. If they fit better (looser), I think they would be great - very nice color and feel. Also, the cushion is not the kind of Cushion you need for padding around on hard floors. I guess they really are boot socks, so keep that in mind.
