Reviews:

A great find at any price if you can locate one.
This is great an entire concert of the RIPPINGTON'S on tape a rare find i dont think they made very many of these tapes so expect them to be a little pricey but believe me they are worth it.

I feel lucky
Great video. I feel so fortunate to find a copy. The quality of the video itself is a little less than I would have liked, but still very enjoyable. Get a copy if you are a Ripp's fan. It is a must have item.

one of the best shows in video
I used to own this video, sadly I lost it, I have been waiting for years to be able to buy it again in DVD format, is one of the best shows I ever seen in video, if you like their music you'll love this video.

WHAT IS THE RECORD COMPANY WAITING FOR ?????
I USED TO HAVE THIS VHS PUT OUT BY GRP.IT IS GREAT. GREAT SOUND AND VIDEO AND ONE OF THE BEST ROCK/JAZZ PERFORMANCES AVAILABLE,RUSS AND THE GUYS ARE STEAMING HOT,PLAYING THEIR BEST, SO WHY IS NOT ON DVD??????.

Rippingtons "Live in LA"
I stumbled upon this video while Christmas shopping over ten years ago. It was being used to demo an RPTV in a large department store. I've always loved Russ and the Rippingtons, and it was the first live concert video of them that I came across. I asked the store manager if I could buy it, seeing that it was the only copy they had, and miraculously he said yes. It's been in my stable ever since. It is a very well recorded live recording, although in a few places the picture and the sound are slightly out of sync (only for a few moments) which is a minor annoyance. The rest of the band's individual performances are top notch (as Russ is his usual superb, professional self), and Kim Stone really shows off his bass chops. One question I've always asked is "why hasn't this been remixed into 5.1 and put on DVD?" There must be some rights issues that I'm not aware of because the CD of this performance has sold very, very well.
