Works for what it's needed for....
This may not be the most expensive luxurious mask you will ever own but it is comfortable and keeps the light out, which is the most important thing. Recommend to those who just need to sleep in the day, not for those who need the most expensive luxurious masks.
Day sleep w/o sunlight
I found this great for blocking blaring sun when you need dark to sleep. The bands are not to tight and a nice soft nose piece.
Great for day sleepers
My work hours change occasionally, and sometimes I have to go to bed by day. Add to that the fact that my bedroom has a skylight and a south-facing window, and getting quality sleep was a challenge. This mask has changed all that.
The first time I used this sleep mask, I slept soundly and woke up naturally. The bedroom was quite bright from the skylight, but it was total blackout for me with this mask on. No more waking up from the light in the room- I'm waking up because I've gotten the amount of sleep I need.
Recommeded.
Much too tight to wear
Snooz Silky Soft Sleep Mask - Black
I bought 4 Snooz Silky Soft Sleep Masks directly from Dream Essentials. I don't know if the manufacturer shortened the length of the two elastic bands to save costs but all 4 masks are MUCH too tight to wear. Neither my wife nor I can use this sleep mask. It feels like someone tied a noose around our head over our eyes and is pulling the noose back really tightly. We don't recommend buying it.
Does the Job Well
I am a light sleeper, and I cannot stand light when I sleep. Even if the outside hall is lit up, I find it hard to sleep.
This sleep mask is pretty good for a sleep mask, it blocks those minor lights (such as outside hall and the glow from my digital clock). It also blocks the sunlight pretty well, about 75% ~ 85% of all lights. I sometimes wake up wondering why is it so dark yet there are birds chirping, so it does work very well.
However, it does not completely block 100% of all light (also a little crack in the nose part also glows out). Also the mask does touch your eyes so when your eyes get wet while to yawn your eyes water when you sleep you will feel dampness around your eyes.
Overall,it gets the job done well.
